Possible hairline crack at the solder points of the sound/audio board. These boards are placed in the TV with NO back support, so simply pushing in any cable in the ports in the back will bend the board and crack their cheap solder connections.
The fix is to either get another board or carefully try the xbox 360 red ring of death heat gun fix. You tube this to see how it's done first and DON"T do it if you are not willing to replace the board with another if it fails because if not done perfectly, you could damage the board further.

Sound is garbled on one channel only-using antenna.

Try using a different antenna or moving the antenna to a different ocation. if none of that works you might have a bad signal board. You can get parts at www.interliquidparts.com

Garbled sound as the system accesses something. Disk light pops up at same frequency as garbled sound appears. The Windows startup and shut down sound also is garbled. Using Windows XP on an ASUS K8V...

1. check the cable to the DVD or CD to the sound card it may not be connected properly.
2. remove the sound card from the motherboard and do "shutdown" then restart without the sound card.
3. Shutdown again reinstall the sound card and reinstall the drivers for the sound card.
4. check the the manufacturer website for any firmware upgrade drivers

Nuvi 350 Garbled voice

How is the other sound? Like MP3 sound? Is it garbled there? Try using headphones. If the sound is good there, then your internal speaker is bad.

Email me at ks3r at sharc dot net if you are interested in me fixing this for you.
