If the drain lines were plugged, there may have been enough pressure on the pump to fault out. Make sure the sewer line is completely open, as well as the lines at the pump.

if is an asko remove the top panel and check the triple valve for a faulty solenoid, also remove paddle from inside the drum with a screwdriver in the middle hole and pull toward you,and look inside the black sump hose to see if theres a plastic ball in the hose if so you need to remove it take of front panel/s to get access to the hose.also check for coins in the hoses acting like a valve.let me know and i will think of somthing else

not easy.suggest you disconnect pump and power up independently as an easy way to check if it runs
easiest way to remove pump - and its awkward - is to undo the 3 screws holding the pump to its housing

I have the same problem, I even replaced the pump and still getting the same message, so it is not a problem with pump, it is may be the control pannel, a sensor is not sending the message to the pump.

take top off machine. look down right side and you will see a disc about 50 mm in diameter, attached to this is a small flexible rubber pipe, take this off at the disc and blow through it,( you will need some type of pipe to connect to the rubber pipe).this worked for me with the very same problem.
