belt doesnt have to be broken, check the metal arm on the vacuum, see if there is build up of old rubber from previous belts, clean the arm that spins the belt and double check to make sure u have the correct belt

SOURCE: Eureka Uno brush not spinning
There are 2 or 3 screws on the top to take out and the top cover will come off. Belt is #61120A U long life, brush roll if you need it is #62365-2. If the brushs look ok and the ends turn freely, then it is probably ok. The belt goes around the brush roll then up to the motor shaft.

hey i had the same problem with mine, (standing over it and looking straight down) there should be two screws on the top of the yellow cover, one on each side, take those out and the yellow cover should easliy pop off. if the white ink is off the belt or the belt isnt tight than replace, once off just pop the wheel brush (which has the belt around it) up out of its socket and take off of the belt from the wheel brush and motor's metal pole, then put on the new one just like the old one was. let me know how it works out, email@example.com

if the belt has been slipping it may have pollished the moteror brush shaft and it just slips. take a small piece of sand paper or enery cloth and ruffen up the shaft to give it some grip.
if the metal shaft of the motor has been heated up due to slippage it will take some doing to ruffun it as the shaft will be hardend due to heat

lay your vacuum completely on its back on the floor, like you are going to vacuum under a bed, then turn it over on its "belly", you should be able to see the bottom of the unit, where there are 2 small wheels ..... look where embedded in the plastic are #'s 1-4 there are 4 screw pockets, 2 in front and 2 in rear, those are deep, so you need a phillips screwdriver with a long skinny barrel to get in the deep pocket.remove those 4 screws, stand the unit upright, then grasp both sides of the "hood" of the unit remove the the plastic cover, you should see the belt on the right side as you face the vacuum. If the belt is broken, just pull up on the brushroll , removing it from the base. Clean any hair, thread, etc.. from the brushes, and ends , place new belt over the motor shaft (looks like a nail sticking out toward the back of the belt area) slide the brushroll through the other loop of belt in the belt groove, then slide the stop sign shaped end pieces in the grooves in base , pressing down until it is seated in place, gently turn the brushroll with fingers watching the belt making sure it is staying straight , then place the hood of vacuum back in place, make sure it fits correctly, recline handle again all the way down, roll vacuum over again to place screws back in bottom of unit.
