There are a couple of things that can cause this to happen. One is there may be a restriction in the drain pump
.All the hoses and coin trap need to be checked for blockage,The next thing would be a faulty door lock mechanism even though it will run and wash there are certain parts of the cycle it will not operate. The next item to go wrong would be the main control board.
Highly unlikely that it is the belt or the motor.
I Hope this sheds some light on your machine and it gets fixed right.

Happy New Year.

Hi can you tell me which programme is the short wash and spin please

I think I have the same type of washing machine as you do. Wash is when all the clothes get agitated or mixed with soap and water (ever look in there when its washing? the water can get pretty gross looking!) So in my washer, the rinse cycle is when all that gross water is drained, and the washer spins while spraying clean water over the clothes to get rid of the dirty water and soap. I think mine does this 5 or 6 times in the cycle. Next is the spin cycle, which is when the washer spins REALLY fast to **** as much water out of the clothes as possible, so that the clothes aren't sopping wet when you put them in the dryer.

It sounds like your mom has a newer washing machine, probably a front load one, and they do seem to keep using clean water, instead of just agitating the clothes in dirty water.

Washer will not spin clothes dry...full of water and wont work. f-21 keeps flashing.

your drain pump is clogged,So the first thing you need to do is,Push the start button again you well hear the machine come on you well hear the pump its trying to drain after about 30 seconds,It well shut off,so push button again watch the machine when the water goes down a certain level. The clothes well start to spin. Now after they get done spinning, push the cancel button.you should be able to hear the door unlock, remove the clothes. Now put Draino Max gel or Rooto-Routor gel in tub of machine and let it set for about 1-2hrs.Now star cycle on heavy-duty wash hot water,it may take a couple of times but it well clean your machine don't mix any othe soaps or bleach during this time. then rinse machine out again to get rid of gel.see if this work for you,are machine does the same thing, its because of dog or cat hair,or something was in a pocket like tissue,or strings from clothes.thanks

I have an asko 11505 clothes washer. For some reason, it is not going through all of the spinning cycle, it spins for a short time, then stops abrutely. I cleaned the coin stop, cleaned out all water...

My Asko 11505 washer fills only a little water then shuts off. If I drain the washer with the drain hose from under the machine, then the machine will start up and fill enough water to fill the hose again, then shut off.

Wash doesn't go through full cycle

I have a Maytag model A490 clothes washer. It works fine up to the rinse cycle and then shuts down. When it reaches this point it has become necessary to manually advance the dial a short ways whereupon it will fill with water and complete the rinse and spin cycles. This happens on both the regular and the permanent press cycles. What needs to be done to fix this problem?

Maytag neptune frot load will not reach full spin speed.

It will not spin while washing, it's more of a rocking back and forth. As far as the spin cycle. If it's not reaching full speed I bet you'll notice that it's not doing the full cycle because the load is bouncing around and cause the washer to shut off. take some of the clothes out and watch it spin the water out.

Clothes still wet aftre drying cycle over

It sounds as if the wash cycle isn't terminated by pumping the rinse water out and spinning to rid the clothing of most of the water.
Most dryers sense moisture but I think they all will have a maximum run-time to prevent possible fires if the programmer fails to shut them down at the end of the drying cycle.
I would watch the machine and when it started the drying cycle, I would shut it off and check for surplus water that hadn't been pumped out as it should have been.

LG front load washer/ clothes still wet after final spin

The heavy jacket prevented the washer from spinning at a rapid pace, so I added a heavy bathrobe to absorb some of the water and to balance the load. The washer then spun very quickly and drained out all the water.
