This problem occurs when the Xbox 360 console experiences a hardware failure. To verify that your console is displaying the E74 error message, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the console.
  2. Turn on the console.
  3. Verify that your console displays the E74 error message.
If you are experiencing this problem, your Xbox 360 console must be repaired..... Microsoft covers repairs for the E74 error for a period of three (3) years from the original purchase date of the console. If you are outside the initial three-year warranty period, you can still receive console repair service from Microsoft for a fee for the E74 error.

E 74 how do I fix. When I turn on my 360 the start button is red an the sreen ssays E74

That means your Xbox has an internal error and most likely shows one flashing light when you turn it on. This is common in all Xbox consoles and there is no way to fix this unless you have warranty, You can contact Xbox for a replacement at 1-800-4MY-XBOX or through their website, Xbox.com/support. If you are no longer covered by warranty, you are going to have to buy a replacement console.

XBOX 360 system has a E-74 error how do i fix

If your the original owner then send it in to MS quick before
it does something that MS will not cover . If its been opened
then you need to get the G.P.U re clamp ( X clamp mod)
make sure the shop doing it has at least a 6 mouth warranty.
I normally offer a 1 year one E-74 errors.
