you have to set this on your computer. when the print box comes up you need to choose the label catagory to make your printer print labels just right

I would suggest pulling the toner out and paper tray and using compressed air to blow out all ereas of the printer. If that does not work then you will have to remove the 2 screws at the back of the printer and with the two tabs at the top remove the backa nd look for paper jammed inside.

SOURCE: cannot print avery labels,
I assume this error is occuring in Microsoft Word.
to match your printer. You should now see the Margins dialog with the new margin settings.
If the labels run off the right edge of the page display, or are misaligned when you print, an extra procedure is needed.
Uncheck the "Move with text" option. Click OK to the Table Positioning dialog, then click OK to the Table Properties dialog.
Once you have the margins set correctly for your printer, I would save the empty page of labels to use as a "template".

Don't put used label sheets through a laser printer. Just because you had it working like that doesn't mean it's a good idea. We've had many laser printers in our shop here where the owners did that and eventually the edge of one of the removed label areas will get stuck on something (usually the fixing unit) and completely ruin the fixing unit requiring it to be replaced. Only use "Laser Printer Labels" and never use used sheets.

Consider the facts. If it's "manmade" then there's a way around it. This is one of the most unethical moves on the part of any company to pull such a stunt as this to FORCE people to use their product. I see these little chips and will attempt 1 last time to cover them, or use a magnet and burn them out, or the Lexmark is GONE forever.
I used to have a printer that accepted Walgreen's refills with no problem.
