Question about Cell Phones

My daughter has a quite new LG GT350. The problem is the telephone "thinks" the headset is connected, but is not attached to the phone, so I cannot call her anymore, because her phone is not ringing... We cannot find a way to get the headset sign off and let the phone work normal. Do you have an idea what to do? regards Bonny netherlands

As with any tech issue, it is extremely beneficial to know what steps you have taken already to alleviate the problem.
Have you attempted a "hard restart?"
That is, have you shut down the phone, removed the battery completely, and summarily replaced the battery? This simple solution has a general tendency to cure many of the hanging issues cell phones have.
Another suggestion, would be to retrace the steps used to connect the headset. Insure that everything is set up correctly. If it already was set up appropriately, then perhaps you will have to disable the BlueTooth (assuming that the headset is BlueTooth) abilities of the phone. This would only be a temporary fix, but there is no reason your daughter's phone should continuously communicate with a headset that is not there. If simple solutions do not rectify the problem, the phone is likely defective and is probably going to need to be returned/exchanged.

As an aside (and forgive me right of the bat... because this may sound rude), if you are left with the necessity of replacing the phone I recommend evading the LG brand. From their cell phones to their major appliances this brand lacks on quality construction and the company lacks customer service. Samsung produces some of the best quality products in this genre (and no, I do not work for the company). RIM (BlackBerry) produces the best phones, but they (along with their service plans) can get rather costly.

You need a service provider. After you get one, the only thing you need to do is to access your ( WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML ) browser and allow the app to connect.

It does not have Wifi if that is your question.

My LG GT350 touch screen will not work properly. If I touch an icon, another icon loads or doesn't load at all

It might be a screen calibration problem, i am not familiar with that phone but i would call where you bought it, or call the manufacturers customer service phone line, find out if there is a way to calibrate it manually, if not try a hard reset they can also tell you how to do this and how to back up your data . if this does not help or work it might be a defective device and you should trade it in for a new one.
