If you're talking about just a speaker, you don't actually have a 'positive' or 'negative' like on a battery but you're probably wanting to get the phase the same as your other speakers. This would be important for a woofer. What would be use as a positive would often have a + sign by it or red paint or a red terminal.

To bridge an amp, connect the negative speaker lead of a speaker to the negative terminal of the first channel, and the positive speaker lead of the SAME speaker to the positive terminal of the second channel.

Im trying to wire my radio but i cant find a diagram what color is the hot wire and what colors are the speaker wires

Which 2 wiers are the power wiers to the car radio


Hello ruben
These color codes are for the factory radio harness. there are 3 +power wires if you have a pwr antenna, this wire is pink. The ign/acc +pwr. wire is blue with black stripe, the radio memory +pwr.
wire is orange with a black stripe. Hope this helps.

I've bought an adapter thing, but I don't understand how to wire these wires.


  • Yellow - To the car battery of continuous +12VDC
  • Red - To ACC Power, +12VDC
  • Black - Ground, to bare metal or clean part of the car
  • Dark Blue - Motor Relay control lead for Antenna

Which is the positive and negative connection on the back of the speaker


Normally the positive terminal is larger than the negative terminal. If not the case here, look closely where the leads route to the mid and tweeter. The terminal that leads to a cross-over component (capacitor) is the possitive terminal. (old school way of thought, but it works)

Here's the wire colors for your KD-AR560:

Black = Ground (to vehicle chassis)
Yellow = Constant 12V (power)
Red = Accessory (to vehicle accessory terminal)
Blue/White = Remote turn-on lead (to remote amp)
Orange/White = Illumination (to vehicle light control switch)
Brown = Cell Phone terminal
White = Left Front Speaker positive (+)
White/Black = Left Front Speaker negative (-)
Gray = Right Front Speaker positive (+)
Gray/Black = Right Front Speaker negative (-)
Green = Left Rear Speaker positive (+)
Green/Black = Left Rear Speaker negative (-)
Violet = Right Rear Speaker positive (+)
Violet/Black = Right Rear Speaker negative (-)
