Question about Desa International TB114 Heater

1 Answer

I have a Reddy Heater TB114, and it was purchased as a floor model. Most of this type heater have a guard that prevents things from getting into the flame, but mine doesn't. Is something missing? If so, can I get one somewhere? Thanks, Lane

I bought my reddy heater brand new two years ago and it didn't have any sort of guard on the front. I believe the fan running will keep anything from getting into the flame.

Storage

Kerosene does not get stale or go bad like gas. I would make sure the tank is close to full to prevent condensation and just put it away in a dry place. I have stored over 50 each year for many years and have never had any problems.

Reddy Heater 70 (Kerosene) won't start

In the same temperature range that is giving you trouble, run an ext cord (110v) from a known good household circuit and plug the heater into the cord. If the heater runs OK, then the inverter is your problem.

What is the model number? Could be a number of things, depending on which technology is used on your particular 55,000 btu heater.
