Hi, Fist you must clarify which namebrand is your computer and phone. You might need to download aprogram from the phone provider to your laptop. Some phones bring in a cd with them. You can also send the picture via email to your email address then you download into your computer.

Finnaly the eassiest and fast way for me is fo to a store with photo services (walmart, walgreen, eckerd, rite aid) get your pictures from your phone into a CD. Then from the CD you can down load to your computer. This is fast and easy.

I hope you can solve this. Take care.

My canon 450D does not recognise my memory card

Your laptop uses a different FAT than your camera. Once you formatted it on your laptop it will never work in you camera - unless you have one of the expensive image recovery programs that allow you to reformat it for the camera.

If a file is deleted and is not written by further data, then the file has actually been there.

Memory Card is saying no image file when i put it into camera

Copy all the photos from the card onto your computer if you haven't already done so. Put the card into the camera and format it. From now on, format the card each time you finish downloading pictures to the computer instead of simply erasing the pictures you don't want.
Repeated shooting and erasing will inevitably lead to this problem. Formatting prevents it.

Hi Lara

I would take the battery out to reset it and put the chip in and then the battery and fire it up.
You can also clear the sd card in windows to avoid naming issues
After the card is accepted format it with the camera so the directory structure on the sd is restored

pls add thumbs if happy or leave me a comment if still in sorrow

What does it mean this file format is not supported? i can`see a picture from microsoft word using windows photo gallert .

You cant open a file if your software is not compatible with that kind of format.. Although they are all picture/image file but, some image loader cant open some file due to unsupported file format like .gif .dib .bmp etc.. The most common image file format is .jpg or .jpeg and. png..

Formatting memory card

First of all, yes, you will lose your pics if you format the card now. Get a card reader and download the pics to your computer. If you've used 1.7GB on a 2GB card, it may very well be full since the camera uses part of the card to write the files.

Can I recover my photos...the battery run out as they were .....

Try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your digital camera memory card, here are some for your options.

Photo Recovery (for Windows)
Photo Recovery for Mac

Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

to help prevent corruption, try to safely remove the camera before unpluging from the computer.

Uploading images to laptop

By default, Windows uses a 32bit FAT when formatting which is NOT compatible with most cameras. I'd suggest sticking to using the camera menus for formatting a card, unless the camera can't format one (then, if you must use a PC for formatting, make SURE you select FAT as the File System Type). I'd also recommending formatting again with the camera menus before using a card if you ever do need to format one with a PC. As for your problem with the laptop seeing the card, it could be any number of things. It's more likely related to the USB drivers. Many users report intermittent problems with USB connectivity after upgrading to SP2. A frequent solution that sometimes works is removing all devices drivers related to USB (My Computer, Properties, Hardware, Device Manager). Then, rebooting and letting Windows find and reinstall the drivers again. Sometimes, updating these drivers can work, too. You may also be seeing a conflict between other USB devices and drivers. For example, sometimes HP Printer Monitor software conflicts with USB connectivity to other devices. You may also want to try a different USB Port. If all else fails, consider a Card Reader (they're very inexpensive now -- you can probably pick up a USB 2.0 card reader for around $20.00 locally). With a laptop, you may also want to consider a PCMCIA based reader.
