Greetings. I have recently purchased a Remington serial # LP36266. It is obviously vintage but I cannot identify it exactly from immediate online resources. I am ultimately hoping to locate a restoration specialist I can rely on to bring it back to full functioning status. It needs a new ribbon, some cleaning and lubing, the space bar needs fixing etc. Does anyone know of a specialist anywhere near the Okanagan in British Columbia Canada? We live in Vernon but go to Vancouver often enough. Thank you in advance!

Anyone would do the same thing you would do to get an answer. Google "Hiawatha bike serial number," or find vintage bike sites and post pics of the bike and ask for help. In any case a Huffy made bike is not all that valuable and exact year is relatively unimportant.
Identify the serial number and provide it to Remington's recall support team, either by entering it at xmprecall.remington.com or call 1-800-243-9700 (Prompt #3 then Prompt #1) Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT. You will be informed if your rifle is affected by this recall and supported with free resources to return the rifle for inspection and specialized cleaning.
