Ok when you pull the radio from the dash you should be able to locate a constant power source to the radio. This is for the radios memory , like when you have presets for radio stations. when you unplug the stereo from the harness all memory will be lost and it should reset. Hope this helps ;)

sometimes the harness that you buy to connect to the car harness comes loose or has a poor connection you may need to wiggle it or connect the wires directly and bypass the connectors.

After reconnecting the car battery, the radio would not turn on

The pioneer has a small protection fuse in the back of the radio, alot of time when it catches a power spike, it will blow to protect the head unit. It should be plugged in the back of the radio under the main plug. Hope this helps.

Cannot select ipod as a source on my deh-1500

The RCA jacks are preamp outputs (to use with a sub or external amp) not input to use with an iPod

There is no way to direct-connect an iPod to the DEH-1500.

You can use an iTrip or other FM-radio transmitter to play your iPod through an unused channel on the FM radio band
