The C:13:01 error code indicates the issue with the Media used in the Camera.
This may be due to the: Format Error of the Internal Memory. Un-formatted Memory Stick Duo. Broken Memory Stick Duo. Memory Stick Duo type error. When the Camera cannot Read or Write the data in the Memory Stick Duo.
This can be resolved by Formatting the Internal Memory and Memory Stick Duo. If not resolved, try inserting a new Memory Stick Duo which is supported. Try power resetting, remove and reinsert the Memory Stick etc.
This will resolve the issue, if not the Camera may require service.
Set camera on playback mode, you will see any saved picture in internal memory. Insert memory card and lcd screen will show you either blue screen if memory card has no picture files or will show you picture in memory card. That means memory card is intact with camera and ready to store fresh picture. Set camera to camera mode and take few fresh pictures and check them in playback mode. Let me know if you have additional question. Thanks.
yes i believe that the memory stick is the only problem. i also have the same problem and i tried to put in with another memory stick and the camera works just fine. the battery does not haf any affect either on the memory stick...sigh i need my pictures back ! :(
Your memory card might have failed.
Try removing the card and reinserting it to see if it is just a momentary contact problem.
Most cameras are supplied with skimpy memory and it is often upgraded when new.
This means you might have the original smaller memory card that you could use to replace the one currently in the camera to see if the error message is then gone.
