Electronic foot control on My Elna free arm model SU is not getting power to the machine from the electronic foot control. The light comes on, but the control will not provide power to the machine.

take the foot control in to a sewing machine repair shop and have it tested
earlier models were a simple resistance variation but later models are electronic control
it could be a simple broke connection in the control

Foot control does not work

Does it work by pushing the Start/Stop button. If so the problem is probably with the foot control. Make sure all connections are secure. You may need a new foot control. Contact your local Viking Dealer and try one of their foot controls to determine if it is indeed the foot control or something else. You can find your nearest authorized Viking Dealer from the Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us Click on Locate a Dealer for your local dealers.

My machine won't sew since I replaced the broken needle

when the needle broke it's very possible that it knocked the needle bar out of time, & needs to be taken to a sewing machine shop to be retimed

Needle won't stay in left position when using zip foot - bernina 1530

Is it possible you're using a later foot with the sensor lenses on it ... your machine has the optical sensor for the automatic buttonhole foot and I'm wondering if you're getting it confused by using a foot that is not designed to go with that machine ?

When pressing the foot control the machine won't run, it shows the presser foot blinking on the screen even when the presser foot lever is down.

check the connections, if they are good, your foot pedal has a short in it, so its not completing the circuit when depressed

Singer sewing machine, slight buzz from the motor when pluged in but not responding to the foot control

Check to make sure there is no thread in the bobbin case area holding the machine back

Keeps on running as soon as it is pluged in foot pedal dosent seem to do anything

The suppressor has blown usually in the foot control, if you can undo the foot control and take out what looks like a fuse the machine will run perfectly, if the suppressor is on the motor then you will need to take it in to a repair shop because in that case it would have to be replaced, the foot cointrol suppressor does not have to be replaced.

Baby Lock 9500 Sewing Machine, Can't get to foot control jack!

I have the same machine and I know the little pinhole you are talking about. There is a plastic or rubber "plug" in that round hole.....pull it out and inside there you'll find the screw that loosens that side. Hope that helps you out. Letha
