Question about Computers & Internet
I had this problem on an old P4 desktop a year ago and tried to search for and download drivers for days but never did any good. Changed the sound card out for another couple of other old cards I had lying around and couldn't get any of them to work. Messed around with it for days then found the easiest way to fix it.
Go to Ebay and do a search for USB Sound Card. There will be hundreds of them. Sort them out cheapest price plus postage and you will be able to buy one from China with free postage for about $1. When it arrives plug it in a USB port plug your speakers into the socket on the back and problem will be fixed in less than a minute. There is a microphone socket on them as well if you want to plug in headphones. Forget searching for the right driver that's too hard to do and probably wont work any way. These little sound cards work great and are so cheap you can buy 4 of em like I did to keep some as a spare.
