My Citizen WR200 keeps resetting to the year 2016.

If you haven't got instructions you can get them from you can get instructions from the Citizen web site.

Go to "" and on the upper right there is a menu. Click on "technical support" and then on "setting instructions"

Fill in the information required from the back of your watch and then click on "get setting instructions"

If this does not help I suggest that you contact them and discuss your problem. The web site indicates that there a 5 year warranty on their watches. If this applies to your watch, then they should repair it free of charge.

After setting year to 2010, keeps resetting to 2016.

who set set it these have a 5yr guarantee so send it back to citizen ,it may need a new capacitor this is like a battery but it stores the power from solar panel on the face of your watch these always need replacing at sometime within the 5yrs. because it can cause the functions of the watch to malfunction. if you not got the guarantee try a good repairer they may be cheaper then sending bk without guarantee

Skyhawk keeps reverting to year 2016 and date does

It is easier to just answer the question (escapement): Here is the solution:

Citizen will do the software update for free, but you will need to send it in. Call 1-800-321-1023 ext. 4345. I spoke with Claudia. They will send you an e-mail that your respond to with this info: Name, address, phone, e-mail. They will then send you a pre-paid airbill to send in your watch and return it to you when updated. It is free and will take less than 10 days.

My Citizen WR200 keeps resetting to the year 2016

My Skyhawk AT is showing the wrong date and the year is 2016. How do I correct this?

The factory has discovered a software anomaly in the calendar programming of the integrated circuit that affects some Skyhawk AT and other styles utilizing the U600 movement caliber produced in only 2007 for those watches receiving either the U.S. or Japanese time signals. Those customers receiving the German time signals or have pieces manufactured in other years are not affected. This anomaly results in the calendar displaying dates from 2016 even though the year is 2010. Rest assured no other production series, feature, function, aesthetic portion or other Skyhawk series timepiece is affected.
If your 2007 production Skhyawk AT shows the year 2016, we are ask you to send the watch for updating.
Once your watch receives the software update, there will be a small dot punched on your caseback in front of the serial number. Our goal is to have your watch returned to you in two weeks once it is received by us.
If you are located in the United States, please email us the following information so that we may arrange a prepaid shipping label with UPS for you:(
Your Name
Company (if you are going to return from your place of work)
Address (don't forget any apartment or suite number)
City, State, Zip Code
Telephone number
Email address
If you prefer, you may also call us at 800 321 1023 x4234 with the information. Do be aware that our telephones may be very busy so hold times could be longer than we would like.
Once the label is arranged, you will receive an email from UPS with instructions on sending your watch. Be sure to pack the watch securely in a sturdy box (do not send the original packaging or materials), tape the label to the box and submit the package to one of the many UPS drop off locations throughout the United States. If you are located outside the U.S, please contact your nearest service center for direction.
We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I have an aqualand classic 2 jp 2000 watch stopped working i was told there are no parts because its so old can you help me

I have looked at the Citizen web site and this range is still current (although your model does not appear on their list).

I would be surprised if Citizen would not be able to repair an expensive watch, after all, we expect watches to run for a considerable number of years. I have much cheaper watches that are decades only and still running.

If you haven't already done so, I suggest that you contact Citizen yourself ( This link will take you to their service page, where you can decide who you should contact.

My watch is 7 years old. it loses time. stops working. i put it in the sun a minimum of 24 hours a month. what is wrong? it is a ladies eco drive, does not have perpetual calendar.

After 7 years the capacitor is probably bad and wont hold the charge! Perfectly normal! :-) You need to take it to a reputable watch repair business and have them replace the capacitor. You can also send it directly to Citizen but they might be a little more expensive. Our business charges $45...that includes labor and it comes with a 1 year warranty. Just to give you an idea of what you might expect to pay. Could be more...could be less!

When we have a Citizen that needs repair beyond our capability we send to Torrance, CA location! :-)

Good luck!
