SOURCE: put in a new color cartridge, but it still prints blk & white

Go in to the setting to see if you have enabled colour, it may be set to print in black only. check the cartridge to see if the ink is actually coming out. I once had the same problem when using a refillable cartridge and the chip on mine was faulty and had to be taken back to the shop.

SOURCE: My printer is telling me

the Cyan is the blue ink. Try taking all cartridges out and power cycle. Then the unit will ask for the cartridges again so install them. This will refresh the sensors. If the error persist and if its new try to contact the reseller to get it replaced

SOURCE: just inserted new color cartridge and continues to

Since you have removed the tape, be certain that the cartridge is inserted correctly. Check the expiration date.

If inserted correctly and the cartridge date has not expired, your cartridge is probably faulty. Return it for a replacement.

Hope this helps.

I bought an hp60 ink cartridge set and when I installed them the printer said there is a problem with one of the cartridges. I determined it was the tri color one. I tried numerous times but no luck.

Maybe you have the cartridges switched. Be sure you don't have the color cartridge in the black position. How did you determine the tri-color was the problem?

Cannot make the printer work after I changed the ink cartridges?

You can validate the HP60 ink cartridge's electrical health by running the 'Tap 41' diagnostics test (this procedure is specific to the F2480 model). Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TAP 41 video procedure at the following link on how to activate and read the service test:

1. While holding the Power button, press Cancel (X) button 4 times, then press the Color Copy button once.
2. Release the Power button.
3. The 'Tap 41' diagnostic test print should print.

--- Providing the color cartridge is partially functioning the Tap 41 diagnostic test print will be printed (this is a forced service print test which is mainly used for the evaluation of ink cartridge electrical health). A good HP 60/60XL color cartridge should display 1248 good nozzles, while a good HP 60/60XL black ink cartridge should show 336 good nozzles. If the results yield anything different then the ink cartridge is likely damaged and will need to be replaced. Refer to video on how to read the printout.

---- If the printer attempts to print the diagnostic test pattern (1 page) then the printer is generally considered operational and functional, if nothing is printed, but the printer attempts to print the pattern, then the tri-color ink cartridge is either empty, clogged or severely electrically damaged (black ink cartridge is not used). You can remove the tri-color cartridge, reactivate the tap 41 test and the printer will print the diagnostic test print in black ink.

Your color cartridge may need some cleaning. If you're using Windows, go to Start menu > Prorgrams/All Programs > Lexmark 2600 Series > Solution Center. Go to Maintenance tab and select Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them.
If problem continues, try to insert a different known working color cartridge to determine if it's a faulty cartridge issue.

My f2400 deskjet printer show cartridge problem in tri cartridge and it was not print the document

You must be using HP60 for your printer.

Is it brand new original cartridge you tried?

If so, you'd better get refund.

If not, did you refill your cartridge?? And how did you refill?

If you used needle & syringe method, the air gap may be made during refill.

If air is inside of cartridge, you may not get decent print..getting skipped lines.....

What you got to do is, **** out the ink and try to get rid of the air gap.

And try again.

For your reference, here is how you refill HP60 in easy way:

Wish you can get some answer here.
