My lexmark 4300 series says incorrect port detected

Yes the problem is with your printer port setting, to view or to correct the printer port setting,
- click or open Printer or Faxes
- right click your Lexmark printer and click properties
- a menu will appear, choose or click PORT tab
- at the Port tab listing, choose USB port and click ok after choosing the right port.

then you should be able to print properly after the right configuration.

Hope I was able to help.

My lexmark x7350 won't scan, it says failed to retrieve application, what should I do?

Try launching the scan from the computer. You may not have the monitor program running properly or you may need to reinstall the full feature software from (select your OS). Uninstall and then reinstall; this will cure problems with the driver/software missing dlls.

Try a new data cable and a different port. Try a direct connection if you use a USB hub or print server. (Two-way communication is needed for the scanner to work.)

I hope this helps.

Windows does not start when I leave my printer plugged in

First if your USB cord is too long try to switch it out with a smaller cord. If that does not work please unplug printer boot up and enter the BIOS settings.

Then check to make sure your boot sequence is setup to Hard Disk first and not USB, you need to make sure the USB Boot Device does not have priority over HDD.

Finally make sure that USB Emulation is not turned on in the BIOS.

If all of the above does not fix the issue you may have a faulty USB port or a bad mother board.

Cannot locate the usb port on the back of my new x7675 printer

The USB port is on the back bottom left as you have the back facing you. That USB port is for connecting the printer to the computer. It looks like a small oval port and it is the only USB port on the printer.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Lost manual

There is no much to hook up, you hook up the RJ11 phone connector at the back of the printer to the phone line.
Install printer software onto the computer.
Then connect printer to computer using USB cable.

USB cable

that's really and truly weird. Which end of the cable are you having trouble with. For this printer, the end that fits into the back of the printer, is more square, than long. The other end is the USB side. Do I have this correct, regarding the cable?

How Can I Fix Problem

Open your printers folder and make sure you do NOT have a bunch of duplicate installs. If you do, delete them all and then install just one. Be sure you have a good USB cable. Try using the same cable on some other USB device that usually works. If that device wont work with the printers USB cable, its most likely a bad cable. also try using a different USB port. I have seen a lot of computers that have a problem with USB ports suddenly dieing for no apparent reason.

Software and using Lexmark X750

there are not many connections for this printer.. when u say "I need to make sure the printer is connected right". U need the power supply to be plugged in. The usb from the printer to the comp. and the telephone wire from the wall outlet to the "Line" jack behined the printer.. if u have an answering machine.. then connect it to the ext port on the back of the printer.. set the answering machine to 3 rings and X7350 to 5 rings... thats all about the connections... If u dont have a driver CD... then download the drivers from for vista
