Try resetting the router (disconnect the power to it for a few minutes) next --be sure the wifi switch is enabled on the netbook---TRY IT NOW-- If stiil no connection then--go to CONTROL PANEL>NETWORK CONNECTIONS--right click oin your wifi card and choose properties--highlight INTERNET PROTOCOL and choose properties and be sure "OPTAIN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY" is checked--Does the laptop "SEE" the router?
You will need your SSID to logon to the router(internet)

If you continue to have problem..indicate at what point in the flowchart it is getting stuck
