Question about Philips Health & Beauty

Open Question

Our Phillips HX6710 rechargeable toothbrush doesn't spin. Is the battery replaceable? At two likely locations to find a battery, there is a no-battery symbol. We lost our manual.

SOURCE: What symbol is used when the battery needs to be

battery's life is governed on the number of recharges. so it is always recommended to recharge a battery only when it has been discharged completely. generally a blinking battery symbol denotes that the battery needs recharging.

Hi penguin33879,

I work for Philips, and I came across your post while visiting Fixya. I wanted to share with you the link for registering your Philips Sonicare:

You can also shop online, search for product information, and find support by visiting www.philips.com.

I hope this helps.

My oral b rechargeable toothbrush (brand new out the box at the weekend) wil not recharge - have thrown the intructions away thinking "what is there to know you stick the toothbrush on the charger...

The plastic connecton has a coil in it, much like how a transformer is done. If you read up on how a transformer works its pretty much the same principle as it works on Induction. There is a coil and core iron in the end of the toothbrush and in the base, this creates AC current which inturn causes induction to flow through the coils and charge the battery. And about the reason why it is not charging is probably down to the battery being flat ( happens even when new ) or there is a loose connection when it was being transported.
Hope this helps.

Dear Sir, Madam, I have a tooth brush by Braun : Oral B Triumph 5000. I am not able to recharge the battery any more. What should I do ? Thank you in advance for your answer. Best regards. GH. Leroux

Three possibilities come to mind ::

- the rechargable battery is dead and won't take a charge and needs replacing, or

- the charger is malfunctioning (broken wire or burned out transformer), or

- the electrical contacts on the toothbrush and the contacts on the charger are not making good contact (need cleaning or re-tensioning).

How old is the toothbrush ? Is there a charging light and does it light up when it's charging ?

My Braun Oral-B Sonic Complete Toothbrush wont hold a charge

I had the same problem today. I use the charging plug which has the "wrench" remove the bottom screw...I was attempting to remove the battery to reset the brush. I could not get the bottom of the brush off as I did not want to use a screw driver or similar to pry it off in case I needed to return the brush.

So I was trying to pull the bottom off and my finger was on the on/off switch, as I was wiggling the bottom of the brush to try to dislodge the battery it started working.

The brush seems to have a reset button on the back but that did not do anything. The display also has moisture trapped inside it, which I am sure is not good!

Any way try this and maybe the battery will come out and I am sure that will reset the brush...if not maybe you will get lucky as I did and wiggling it will work. BTW, this is with the Oral-B Triumph Professionla Care 9000
