How to remove a light bulb cap from overlocker sewing machine

There are two ways to do this Agatha, and I have done it both ways.

TURN THE MACHINE OFF AND REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE WALL SOCKET!!!

Pull the glass globe of the light from the base. Use a dinner knife to push into the bulb base until it grips, release a little and turn anticlockwise.

OR

Pull the glass globe of the light from the base. Use a pair of needle nose pliers and grip the edge of the base between the jars. Whilst maintaining grip, twist the pliers anticlockwise. This will roll the thin base around the pliers, loosen the base in the fitting and make it very easy to unscrew.

Put a little Vaseline or oil on the new bulb threads and don't overtighten it.

Let me know how you get on Agatha by way of COMMENT below my post.

Replace park bulb.vt commodore

To replace the front parklight globe on a vt commodore can be a little tricky.

1.turn the lights on to see which 1 is inoperative once you know turn lights off.
2.open bonnet
3.go to side that is inoperative and on the back of the headlight you will see a round large plastic cover turn this to release it.
4.under the headlight globe there will be 2 wires flow these to the park globe socket gently twist and pull it out.
5.once the sockets out and you can see the globe ,pull the globe out of socket.
6.push new globe into socket
7.refit the socket in headlight
8.refit all trims
9.turn lights on make sure new globe is work..

How do i get light bulb cover off k9375 ceiling fan

The entire glass globe twists off (counterclockwise looking at the globe from below). It is kind of tricky, but if you apply constant pressure eventually it will begin to turn slowly, and then (1/4-1/2 turn) it will pop right off.

WARNING: I strongly suggest you have another pair of hands to help ensure the globe doesn't come crashing down to the ground, as it's VERY easy to do!

How to change the bulbs I turn and turn the globe and lower assembly but the glass doesn't release! The shaft rises up slightly but then clicks back down Any suggestions?

Hampton Bay assembly information is tough to come by on the internet - except for sales info. As an electrician, I have hung more fans than I can remember, and have never found any that were not secured by either (1) three or more thumb screws, (2) a threaded portion of the glass globe or (3) a "bayonnette" (quick twist) type mount that required little more than an inch or so of twist to remove.

The globe should be removed by either loosening / removing three or more thumb screws that are designed to engage the recess between the globe itself and a lip around the opening; unscrewing the glass globe light a light bulb ; OR by twisting the globe about an inch or so in one direction or the other (like many automotive-type lamps). I suspect the type you have is the latter. From your account of what is happening, it suggests to me that the entire fan / light fixture is twisting on the fan support on the electrical ceiling box when you are trying to twist the globe. The globe and rest of the fixture are moving as one instead of independantly of each other.

If yours is the type that must be twisted from the base, you'll need to prevent the rest of the fixture from twisting at the same time while attempting to remove the globe. This will probably require a second person to help - given that it seems to have become wedged in place, and trying to grip it and balance the globe might be to much to do by yourself. If yours is held in place by thumb screws, no amount of twisting will allow it to be removed.

There should be no "secret" way of accessing the light bulbs, something has happened that is preventing the easy removal of the globe - whether it is corrosion, dirt or some other debris. Make sure you clean it up completely before reassembly.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

How do I remove the coloured casing to change the globes in rear brake light?

check the inside of the trunk area with the trunk open. there mite be a peice of carpet covering the backside of each light. the cover should pop open easily and you will be able to see the bulbs from the inside. you should be able to twist out the old bulb and put in a new one. make sure you buy the right bulb for the light. walmart usually helps out.

Changing the brake light bulbs

Have you had a look from inside your boot? I could imagine its covered over with carpet but if you take off the boot wall/carpet and feel around you should find the wires which come out of the rear of the Lens which house the globes. Then you usually twist anti clock slightly (not a screw) to remove globe holder which has globe in it. Or there can sometimes be a wire spring holding the globe holder into the back of the lens. Im pretty sure it takes a bayonetglobe 5W. 47207.

Light bulb replacement in ceiling fan. Hampton Bay with a solid globe (no hole in middle) - how to remove globe?

Look for three or four small thumbscrews around the metal rim that holds the globe. Unscrew each several turns while holding the globe with your other hand underneath to keep it from dropping out. You should not have to remove the screws completely. Just loosen them all enough to remove the globe. If there are no screws then the globe may twist into the rim light a light bulb. Hold the fan housing steady and turn the globe counter-clockwise to unscrew it. If it turns but does not unscrew then there are probably screws holding it as first described. They may be flush with the rim and you may need a small screwdriver or Allen wrench to unscrew them.

How do i remove the light to change a light bulb?

i looked it up online and they called it a:
Single Bowl Twist and Lock Light Kit.
Some things i would suggest:
  1. push it up and turn (like when you open a medicine bottle.
  2. try to look for a spring action peg that clicks in automatically around the glass dome that might be locking it...

please comment my solution :) thanks

You have to unscrew the small openings on top of the housing where the motor is to access the small nightlight bulbs.
