Two earlier FixYa proposed solutions didn't solve the problem: I've retried again and again
reinstalling and uninstalling the driver and the software. Installation of
directx9 caused some new problems. Even restoring of the system didn't solve the problems.
can you suggest a better solution?

Sorry. all three proposed solutions provided by FixYa didn't solved my problem. The earlier suggestiion (not yours one) to install DirectX caused me a lot of trouble since my computer had already newer version so the system crushed.
Finally I have solved the VideoStudio myself by doing system restore to an earlier working date and this brought cure to the VideoStudio as well.
    Thax for trying to help,

Hi Abraham.

DirectX9 reinstall may force you to reinstall the whole Video Studio suite.

Before reinstalling Direct X, did you actually try changing the field order? There are only two possible settings.

If that does not work, you may need to play with camera settings.

If you uninstall and reinstall VS8, before reinstalling ensure you have latest DirectX (How to Download and Install DirectX).

DirectX can be tested opening the Run box and typing "Dxdiag" in the Run box. I do not think that problem is Direct X. Try lowering camera resolution and ensure that there is no comm. problem and that USB is not USB1 (slow type).

Here other discussion on same problem.

Bad/corrupted install due to a missing driver or component - since the driver appears to be correct then you will have to update the Dx9 install. You can get that from here - select Save, not Run, the wait for the download to complete and only then launch it.

If the install/upgrade of Dx9, an integral part of XP, has caused you problems then something is terribly wrong in Windows, you should do a full reinstall. BTW Video Studio can't function without Dx9 so you must install it whatever else you do.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

If problems like this occurs, it is recommended that you uninstall the program and restart the pc. After booting up please install a fresh copy of the Video Studio. You can have a program crash and reinstalling the driver can resolve this.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Can I configure microsoft outlook 2007 to work with my yahoo e-mail if i'm connection through clearwire at home and I'm not on a network

Hi,

If you are not connected to the internet, you can only work offline, and for example, if you write an email it will not send until you do connect to the internet.

You can configure Outlook 2007 to work with Yahoo.

If you want to "POP" your Yahoo! Mail into your Outlook 2007 application, here's how:
  1. From the Tools menu, select "Account Settings." If you do not see "Account Settings," place your cursor over the two arrows at the bottom of the list to display more choices.
  2. On the Email tab, click New.
  3. Check the box next to the first option, "Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP" and click Next.
  4. In the Your Name box, type your name as you'd like it to appear when you send a message.
  5. In the Email Address box, enter your Yahoo! Mail address (for example, "user@yahoo.com").
  6. Check the box for "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and click Next.
  7. Check the box next to the first option "Internet E-mail" and click Next.
  8. In the Server Information area, under "Account Type" select POP 3 from the pull-down menu.
  9. In the Incoming mail server field, enter: pop.mail.yahoo.com.sg
  10. In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, enter: smtp.mail.yahoo.com.sg
  11. In the Login Information area, in the User Name field, enter your Yahoo! ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com").
  12. In the Password box, enter your Yahoo! Mail password.
  13. Check "Remember Password" if you don't want Outlook to prompt you for your password each time you check your mail. Handy!
  14. Do not check the box labeled "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)."
  15. Click on the More Settings button.
  16. Click on the Outgoing Server tab and check the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."
  17. Click on the Advanced tab.
  18. Under "Incoming Server (POP3)", check the box next to "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)". The port number in the "Incoming Server (POP3)" field should automatically change from 110 to 995. If it doesn't, make sure the port number is set to 995.
  19. Under "Outgoing Server (SMTP)", check the box next to "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)". Enter port number "465" in the "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" field.
  20. If you'd like to keep a copy of your email messages on the Yahoo! Mail server, check the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server." If you want to delete your messages from the Yahoo! Mail server after viewing them in Outlook, don't check the box.
  21. Click the OK button.
  22. Click the Next button on the Email Account Wizard, then click Finished.
  23. Would you like your Yahoo! Mail inbox to be your primary inbox in Outlook 7? If so, click the Tools menu and select "Account Settings." If you don't see "Account Settings," place your cursor over the two arrows at the bottom of the list to display more choices.
  24. From the list, select the pop.yahoo account you've just added and click the Set as Default button.
  25. Click the Close button. You're done!
Troubleshooting instructions
If you followed the above configuration steps, you should be all set. However, if you cannot send or receive mail with your email client, try the following tips.
The Yahoo! Mail SMTP server requires authentication. Make sure you have enabled SMTP authentication. To turn this setting on, follow these steps:
  1. From the Tools menu, choose "Account Settings."
  2. Select the "E-mail" tab.
  3. Select your Yahoo! Mail account and click Change.
  4. Click on the "Outgoing Server" tab.
  5. Check the box next to "My Server Requires Authentication."
  6. Please make sure that "Log on using" is not checked.
  7. Click OK.
To control deletion of messages from the Yahoo! Mail server:
  1. From the Tools menu, select "Account Settings."
  2. Click on the "Email" tab.
  3. Select your Yahoo! Mail account and click Change.
  4. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
  5. Check "Leave a copy of messages on server" if you want to save your Yahoo! Mail messages on the Yahoo! Mail server as well as on your local computer. Please note that setting your email client to remove messages from the server will cause your messages to be deleted from the server. Once the messages are deleted, we are unable to retrieve them.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Close Microsoft Outlook and restart.
We strongly recommend that you enable SSL for both POP and SMTP, as detailed in the above instructions. This will ensure that your Yahoo! ID, password and email messages are transmitted securely between your mail client and the Yahoo! servers. However, if you choose to not use SSL for SMTP, your email client will likely default the SMTP port to 25. If your ISP blocks port 25 or if you're unable to send email, then you will need to use port 587 when sending via Yahoo!'s SMTP server. To make this change, please follow the directions below:
  1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Account Settings"
  2. Select your Yahoo! POP account and click on Change.
  3. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
  4. Click OK and Close.

How do i hook my pinnacle to my ps3

To capture in Studio you need to know what type of device you will be capturing with.
There are 3 types
  • USB devices (like the 710&510 USB, and the Dazzle DVC 150 etc)
  • PCI cards (like the Movie Board, Movie Board Plus, 700&500 PCI)
  • 1394 cards
All these devices are setup in the same place in Studio but you will need to know what you have so you can make the right selections in the Capture source settings window.
To get to the settings window, hit the capture tab at the top of the screen from anywhere in Studio.
Note: When you go to the capture tab, if you have not changed the settings you may get a message saying it does not detect a DV camcorder.
When you hit the Settings button it will bring up this screen. Hit the capture Source tab. This is the capture source screen. This screen allows you to change what device Studio will use to capture. Notice the default is DV camcorder.
You can read the next step to hook your pinnacle up to youe PC reading the link below:

EasyCap - ''no input signal or signal is unclear'' Please Help!!!

In the ULead VideoStudio Application. Go to "Capture" tabbed panel. Select "Options" then "Video and Audio Capture Property Settings...". A window should pop up.

In the "Source" tabbed panel. Change the "Input Source" drop down menu to either "Video Composite" or "Video S-Video" depending on whether you are using the yellow or S-Video picture lead.
Change the "TV System" combo-box to PAL for colour and NTSC for black and white. On my computer S-Video option is showing black and white when using my Sky HD box, don't know why this is yet.
Try the above and you should get a picture. You can also change the frame rate and other compression techniques etc.
If it still doesn't work try changing your digital/sky/vcr/xbox picture settings to PAL for colour or others for picture preference.

Hope this helps.

Video Studio 8 freezes on 'Change Field Order' popup

I have just purchased and installed this device and software and was having the exact same problem as you. After a few hours of restarting and reinstalling things, I discovered that I did not have DirectX 9 installed. After I installed it (from the supplied EasyCap CD)the issue was resolved. I hope this fixes your problem too!

EasyCAP Video Adapter with no video

Ok, here is what is going on. The default video setting in control panel> scanners and cameras> syntek 1160 is pal-b it should be NTSC_M. Right click on the Syntek 1160 and click Video Decoder Property. Change it to NTSC_M from Pal. Do this with the unit plugged in or it wont be displayed in the Scanners/Cameras options box. Right away the signal line should rear 1 from 0 with video hooked up. Keeping that setting to stay is my issue right now. I was so excited to figure it out, I had to post. I was about ready to throw the unit away. Its a program driver error. Hope this helps!!!
