Question about Heating & Cooling

Open Question

I have a Delonghi Ceramic Tower TCH7090ERL. I set the timer so it would come on before i got up this morning. When I woke up, the display was lit, but the unit wasn't blowing any heat or oscillating - it appeared to be lit up without actually being on. The thermostat on the unit was set at 76 and the house thermostat was at 62. I had to manually turn it off, then turn it back on for it to blow heat. Is this a defective timer, or did I do something wrong?

SOURCE: blows cold air

Sounds like you have a problem upon start up of heat. Your safteys maybe shutting you down, and restting voltage to your curcuit board allows you to have another heating cycle. Honestly you may due justice calling a tech.

Your unit may be going into a defrost cycle. If so sounds like a bad defrost board. It sends a signal to electric heaters inside to come on. Change board and sensor

Sounds like maybe the tilt safety switch has failed. Try returning it to your dealer for a replacement unit.
