Hello i would like to play my psp 3000 games on my big tv screen and would like to know the right cable to buy for psp 3000 to enable me to do this please help

psp 1000 (also known as the fat) are the original model that they came out with.
psp 2000 (also know as the slim) are the 2nd generation of the psp.
psp 3000 (also known as the new slim) are the 3rd generation of the psp.
depending on who you talk to or read some people say that the psp 2000 were the best of the models. psp 3000 have improvements over the 1000s n the 2000s in grfx but if you play a lot of games that are like the older classic games that are heavy on sprites the image looks doubled and blurry. but if you play new games like god of war and such you won't have that problem with the 3000 models. so i guess it depends on what type of games you play the most on it.
if you can... i say to wait till this holiday season when sony will release the vita. it is their next handheld machines and it looks incredible.

in my opinion psp go is much better because it is lighter and more portable and it gives you more memory

very simple solution. why would sony want anyone to just have free games. its not in their business to just chop up free games. So that means you need to install the nesccary FirmWare to enable such piracy as its not legal.

First off I have a modded psp and its a 3000 series and I've done the nesccary steps to mod it, but i dont do it to play psp games as i buy my games to support sony, the only reason mine is modded is so i can play my psone games i own and to play other things like cheat enablers for psp games

If you have a psp then step one is out of the question, my method involes buying a psp with prior knowlegde of what firmware it has as this makes a huge difference. you cant downgrade psp 3000s [not yet at at least trust me you will wait at least 1 year or even more for downgrades above 5.03] If you purchase a psp 2000 or 3000 with FIrmware 5.03 or below then its is possible to mod it.

then just use these programs and you its pretty easy,
programs! ChickHen for 5.03....Official firmware update 5.03[ if ur psp is below 5.03 then u need to update it 5.03, just place the eboot file u get in a folder named UPDATE in your psp/game section on your memory card] then use gen a firimwares, just search for 5.03 gen a ltr

you have the right cable, but some of the plugs may be fucked up. you need to make sure they are in the right holes and if it doesnt work, then go buy another one

use chickhen and cfw enabler 3.60 to play iso/cso on your psp 3000

First you're going to need a slim psp, if you have it then you just plug the cables to the right places. To play games on your tv you need a tv with progressive scan and component inputs.

you must have a psp 2000 or the new 3000 to hook it up to a tv or pc. if you have the original psp, the audio/video cables are not compatable.

the original psp will still connect via wi-fi to the ps3, however this does not work for gaming.... only streaming from your ps3 to your psp will work.

Okay the cables you bought they have five plugs. I assuming your tv doesn't have component input only RCA connections (RED, WHITE, YELLOW). SO in that case you bought the wrong jacks. You may want to keep them anyway if you upgrade your tv. Because these "component" cables is the only way you can play video games on the big screen and also has to be hd, but it also will be able to play music, view pics, and watch videos. But that's a different subject.

You need to buy RCA cables for your slim. Keep in mind though you will only be able to watch movies, pics, and music. You won't be able to play video games. Once you have those it's not hard to connect. All you do is from the XMB menu go to display settings click on "switch video output" and it should connect from there. I haven't got a tv which is good enough for the psp componets cable. But as sony psp manual says, http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psp/current/settings/index_videoout.html you probably need to setup your tv for the correct display type, not only on your psp, BUT ALSO YOUR TV SETUP!
