Hello kenelwell,

Norton 360 usually has 3 activations when purchased. If you have only used 1, all you need to do is install it on the new computer and use the same CD Key that you used prior.

There is some information on the Symantec site about this very thing. You can read more about it at:

Norton 360 on additional computers

There are some special conditions if 360 came already installed on your old computer.

Hope this provides you with the needed information.

Lastly, to remove 360 (and other products from Symantec) the best thing is to run the Norton Removal Tool which can be found at:

Thanks for using Fixya.

I had to uninstall my norton 360, now I don't know how to re-install it. I used my automatic renewal but I couldn't access my norton account. They said to uninstall and then reinstall and I don't know...

I can help you re-install the Norton product on your computer.
Please download the latest version of Norton 360 from the link www.norton.com/n360s_5
double click the downloaded file and follow the simple installation steps
The installer will automatically detect any older version of Norton product and will remove it
You don't need to manually remove the older version
After removing the older version, the installer will restart
After restarting, the computer will install the latest version
You're done...

Please help me to reinstall my norton 360 version 2.0 on my pc. the product was bought on the 2/19/09.

Hello,

Make sure you have the CD key or have registered your product on Symantec. You will also need any other Norton product keys if you have them installed on your computer.

Best advice I can give is to first run the Norton Removal Tool which can be found at Norton Removal Tool at Step 4. This will fully remove all Norton products from your system.

After you run the Removal Tool, you can reinstall the 360 software, run Live Update, and enter your CD Key to reactivate. It should pick up where you left off as far as Days Remaining.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Note: Should you still have a problem, try the on-line support that is included in the price of your 360. Access it through the Help selection on the menu. It is very good.
