The Durabrand portable DVD players are no longer supported becuase the company Walmart contracted through went out of business last year. Walmart is taking exchanges for them. Ripoffreport.com has several complaints about the product line.

If you want to find a battery for it you might want to check with Radio Shack of Batteries + in your area and see if they used a generic set.

Chronicles of Narnia. Lion,witch,wardrobe blu-ray won't play

Updated firmware last night (for the Bd370) and the main movie disc for Chronicles of Narnia: Lion, witch, wardrobe worked (after previously stalling). However, the bonus disc still doesn't work when I play it (just a blank screen). I traded the Blue-ray DVD from where I bought it for another one, and it made no difference. However, both Narnia discs played okay in the store on a Sharp blue-ray DVD/Tv combo.

Need charger

What needs to be done here is goto the local Rat Shack, and purchase a universal power adapter for your specific voltage and amperage. Remember to bring your device into the place to match up the tip with the power socket on the device. Tell them you need 1500 milliamps and tell them you need 9 or 12 volts.
The cost should be no more than fifteen dollars total for adapter and tip, usually the tip comes with the purchase of the transformer, and dont purchase one with a variable voltage, just a fixed voltage if possible you can use 9 or 12 volts but it has to be 1500ma(which is 1.5 amps).

Durabrand portable dvd player PVS33701

Take it back. I had the same problem on my PVS1371. Only used it a couple of times and poof...it died. Being an electrical engineering student, I promptly took it apart thinking it was just a blown fuse on the board. Well the fuse was blown but so were the Buck-Boost regulators in the power supply. A quick google search for part numbers and cross-references was fruitless, nobody that had them would sell in quantities of less than 300. :( I am going to take mine back and get another (different brand) player. Sorry for your loss.
