How I solve the channel overlapping?

This is down to the head alignment. Once that is corrected the sound will recorded normally and playback normally too. However any tapes recorded during the fault will not play right.

The head alignment can be corrected, using two adjusting screws located either side of the head. To get at them the door cover has to be removed. To align you play a pre-recorded good quality tape. You adjust the screws till the sound is bright and clear and only the sound recorded on that side of the tape can be heard. Best done with headphones. If you can use a commercial music tape. If you use the decks own recordings it might not be right.
If there is any damage to the head mounting you will not be able to get the alignment right.
PS use the right screwdriver for the head screws. These are very small and easily wear away. If you wear the screw head away you might have a job getting a new small screw that will fit.

Recorded album and first track is cut at beginning everytime

you are going from a record(vinyl) to what before you are doing the ipod? a cd or a tape..when recording the tape..remember theres 30 seconds of plastic leader on those reels..need to forward the tape past that leader to the actual tape before the recording begins..the only other thing is that some recordings that are protected will automatically screw up your recording so as to stop copyright infringement..it may be sending a purposely blank signal for a brief period..and thats encoded into the original recording..

How do I finalize my disk once I have finished recording from VHS tape. How do I get the finalize to light up on menu on screen?

If they are +RW discs they cant be finalized and can only be played on +RW compatible players. Use +R, -R or -RW if you need a wider compatibility (DVD-VIDEO). Finalizing is quite easy following directions in the manual.

I have a Fisher RS636 receiver. I can't seem to record from "Tape 2 to Tape 1" or from 1 to 2. I don't have a remote. Will this be a problem? Can you guide me through procedure. Do...

Most receivers have a dub switch and it would still be in one direction only, say Tape 1- >> Tape 2. Lacking a dub switch the Tape Loops are in an order like that so monitoring the one upstream of the other allows the second one to see it as a source.

Need the manuel original lost or misplaced and can not find. want to record cassettes to cd's

Insert a blank CD-R or CD-RW into the unit. Press the Function button on the remote (key above Vol+ on the bottom right of the remote) or the turntable itself (top left of the control panel) until the unit is in Phono mode. Then insert the pre-recorded cassette and press Play to advance the tape to where you wish to start recording. With the cassette playing, press the CD Record button (recording will flash on the display). The CD Record button is to the left of the fast reverse button on the unit; it is labeled Record on the remote and is below the Stop button. When one side of the cassette finishes playing, press Stop. Wait for the display to return to Phono. Then eject and turn over the cassette to play side 2 (if you want to record both sides of the tape). Press Play again to advance the tape and then press Record. When this side finishes, press Stop and then Finalize. Finalize is at the bottom left of the remote buttons and to the left of the stand by indicator on the turntable.

The manual is available at Crosley: http://www.crosleyradio.com/Product.aspx?pid=1790 . The direct link to the manual is http://www.crosleyradio.com/Manuals/CR248_Manual.pdf . Recording a cassette to CD is on page 11 (page 12 of the pdf).

I hope this helps.

Will not record or play back VHS for more than 30 seconds

I can tell you some ideas genericaly for VCR's.

This could be an idler wheel assembly problem, or a tape tension, or a reel torque problem.

It can also be a power supply problem where the supply is working just on the edge. Due to some worn components in the supply it can be partialy shutting down.

Your machine will have to be checked out by an experienced VCR tech.

JVC RC-QN2 - How to use the microphone on this unit?

That model seems to pre-date JVC's online manuals.
Let's try a little logic here though:
- Can it record on FM?    No - Can it record on CD?   No - Can it record on tape?   Probably. And if it is set up as most such devices, it will have to be switched to 'Tape,' then 'Record' and if you don't wish to actually put anything on tape, you may still have to have one in the drive and just leave it on 'Pause.'
