You have to set the CLOCK on these Panasonic TVs before it will allow you to set the Sleep Timer:

To set the clock on your TV, press the "MENU" button on your remote, then scroll down to "SETUP" then press "OK". You will now be in the SETUP menu - CLOCK is the second option. You seem familiar with using the on-screen menus, so I will skip listing every button press required for setting the clock, however it is best to set the current date and time correctly.

Once you have set the clock, you will be able to set the SLEEP TIMERS.

The first option "SLEEP" is the "off-timer" - this is used for setting a default amount of time (0 / 30 / 60 / 90) minutes before the TV switches off. The other 5 numbered "TIMER" options are for setting exact days and times when you would like the TV to switch on and/or off. For example, you could program Timer 1 to switch the TV on at 8.30am every Friday morning, then switch off again at 10.00am on the same day.

In addition, you also have a "SLEEP" button on your Panasonic remote control. Once you have set the CLOCK and the SLEEP "off-timer", you can use the "SLEEP" button on the remote to tell the TV to sleep after 0, 30, 60, or 90 minutes. Simply, press "SLEEP" once for 0 minutes, twice for 30 minutes, etc.

This should be all you need to configure and use the timers on your TV. If you are still having difficulty after setting the clock or need further information, please let me know and I will be able to assist you further.

Panasonic Viera TH-50PX60U Plasma is stuck on one channel. Only the power function works on the remote and only the On/Off function works on the TV. Any ideas??

Forced to factory default: press and hold [VOLUME ( - )] on the TV and press [MENU] on the remote 2 seconds. Exit: Unplug Power to reset.
If it does not help, the main board need to replace. For further questions, please add your comment.
