What does e3 mean on a Samsung microwave

Temperature of exhaust air too
High
Let it cool down?
Cause:
The oven cavity gets too hot due to excessive
operation with no load or small load, or due to
some blocking materials around the Air Filter or
Air Exhaust at the back of the oven.
Remedy: • Open the oven door and check if 1) the oven
has been operating with no load or too small
load, 2) the air filter is placed in a wrong
position, or 3) any blocking materials exist
around the Air Exhaust. Cool down the oven (for
approx. 30 min) under the normal temperature.
The oven is back to normal when the error
code "E3" disappears and "ON" appears again
in the display window.
• Unplug the power cord, remove the blocking
materials around the ventilation openings, cool
down the oven (for approx. 30 min) sufficiently,
plug the power cord in again and check if the
error code appears again.
• If the symptom persists even when the oven is
cooled down sufficiently, contact the nearest
service centre

Our oven keeps saying E3 F1 when attempting to preheat. We bought the oven used and didn't get a manual w/it... Any ideas?

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F1-E3 error means open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you want to do it yourself and wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter between 1080-1120ohms....if it reads more then or less then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around between 1080-1120ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

E3 error message on prestinge induction Cook. Not able to do any operation, as soon as we power on the cook, it goes to E 3, It is only 3 hours old. Please help me.

E3 generally means a control board error.
If it didn't get damp with steam from cooking, take it back and exchange it.
Hope that helps.

Just show error E3 and does not work

Error code F3 on many models of microwave oven means a problem with the touch panel, (tact switches).

Replace the switch panel to fix the fault.

Hope this helps.

My kitchenaide convection oven is displaying the E1 F4 error.

KitchenAid ovens are popular for their classic design and simple user interface. When a problem occurs in the function of a KitchenAid oven, an error code will display on the clock as soon as the malfunction registers in the oven's memory. Each code corresponds to a particular type of malfunction. Most can be corrected by disconnecting the power supply for one minute and then restarting. If the code persists, either replace the indicated part or contact a service center. F0/F1
  • The F0 and F1 codes refer to electrical issues. If the code appears as only two digits, the problem is a transistor failure, so you must replace the electronic range control (ERC). If the code displays four digits, it will read F0-E0, which indicates a failure switching from analog to digital, or F1-E1, which refers to a safety flip-flop. Both problems require the replacement of the ERC.
  • F2/F3/F4
  • The F2, F3 and F4 codes refer to problems with the oven temperature sensor or the keypad. If you see the two-digit F2 code, it means your keypad has shorted and the ERC must be replaced. The four-digit F2-E0 code means that the oven temperature is too high. Test the door lock and the relay operation, and correct as necessary. A two-digit F3 code means an open temperature sensor or thermal fuse, so those parts must be replaced. A four-digit F3-E0, F3-E1, F3-E2 or F3-E3 code or a two-digit F4 code means that either the oven is registering as too hot or the temperature sensor has shorted. Either way, the oven temperature sensor must be replaced.

    Kitchenaid microwave oven KBMC140HSO

I started having the same problem with my KBMC140HSSO. You cannot see the error codes without disassembling the control panel (the codes are on another display that covered by the front panel). After doing so I found the error code to be F2, E3 which is "Key held down too long, or key shorted". I am ordering a replacement keypad and will report back if this fixes the problem.
