Hi Frank! Mary-Lou from the Food Bank again. Getting the U5 message again unfortunately. Any more ideas? Tried turning off/on via unplugging, and also unplugged/reconnected the power cord to the feeder head (while turned off, of course)

AR-M450U laser code L6-10
google_protectAndRun("render_ads.js::google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad);
Customer called this AM with this code and I understand no kind of reset so I just ordered the laser unit from Sharp this afternoon. Should I have tried something else first. I didn't want to waste time if there was a high probability the laser or one of it's components would need to be changed. Frank /ActionPhotocopy
You are spot on Frank. 99.9% of the time, it has a failure in the Polygon Motor assembly in the LSU. Very common on high page count machines. This part will fix the issue straight away. You will hear the new laser speed up nicely on startup compared to the original, which usually sounds abit sluggish or slow.
Ploy for the AR-5316 copier is RMOTN0022QSPZ
AR-5132 I think I still have the parts guide at work will look next week. I may also have a pulled working laser unit. I can check with my office for a price if you want and if I can find it.
Generally F codes have to do with the finisher(used to be called a sorter). with the machine off, diconnect the finisher cord from the copier and power back on. This should allow you to test the copier. I'm not sure on this model how exactly the finisher cord comes out. but it should be self explanitory when you see it.
H3-XX codes involve the fusing unit temperature being too low or too high.
Try resetting the error.
[C] – [INTERRUPT] –  – [INTERRUPT]
Type in 1 4
Turn power off then on if it doesn't do it automatically.
If error doesn't reset then you have other trouble
I hope you ran the developer setup and reset all of the parts counters for the items you replaced. Not setting the developer reference can cause a host of problems.
Sim 25-02 adjusts developer. Sim 42 clears DV counter
okay start by loading a piece of paper on the glass and choosing maual feed and placing a sheet of paper in the manual feed tray and press the start key and see what happens. also on some of the sharp copiers there has been a problem with the print button itself, so i don't know if that may be the case.
