Need more info have you changed thermostat lately or done anything to it... if not make sure you have checked breakers and all are good no tripped breakers... on some homes by code it is required to also have a breaker or disconnect outside next to outdoor unit make sure it is good... is your outside unit running and if so is the larger of the two copper lines cold if not and outdoor unit is running then one of two probels you either have a leak and freon has leaked out or your compressor is not starting either due to a bad capacitor or wiring on compressor may have burnt at the compressor terminals.... good luck

Ac fan works but does not get cold

Hi there,
Check the air con drive belt is still OK.
Check to see if there is a slight change in the engine sound when the air con is switched on and off while idling - I'd get someone to do the switching while I listened under the hood.
If there's no change in sound (assuming whatever had to be switched on to enable air con to go, eg fan was operating) I'd check the fuse(s) for the air con.

If the fuse is ok, and you've already charged up the freon (not quite sure what you were saying there), I'd be taking it to an air con specialist.

Air conditioning wires getting hot

It is not the fuse, it is caused by high resistance in the circuit, rewire the AC circuit with a stand alone fuse.

I have a peugeot 307 sport disel with dual climate control. The drivers side is working fine. The passenger side only blows warm air. It looks like the dial dosnot work. Thi shappend when the blow fan and...

behind the dash at either side are small motors for opening and closing flaps to allow hot or cold air flow. the motor turn a small plastic gear, the teeth on the plastic gear wear smooth and the frce of the blowing air pushes the flap to the warm position. its an awkward job to repair as the whole dash and heater box has to come out to do it
