How do I insert a memory card into my Nokia 5310d? Thank you

Insert a microSD card

Use only compatible microSD cards approved by Nokia for use with this device. Nokia uses approved industry standards for memory cards, but some brands may not be fully compatible with this device. Incompatible cards may damage the card and the device and corrupt data stored on the card.

1. Remove the back cover of the phone.

2. Insert the card into the microSD card slot with the contact surface facing down, and press it until it locks into place.

Not accept memory card

Format the memory card to FAT32 in your computer first.
If the card is larger than 2GB it will not work in that phone.
Sandisk brand cards are the most compatible.

Hope this helps!

My nokia 6600 does not read the memory card thought i have a brand new memory card inserted on the memory card slot.

The new memory card you bought might not be compatibility with the phone or may be you didn't fix it properly that's why it's not displaying..

Take your memory card to any of your friends that has similar memory card slot or phone as yours and see if will function .

Memory card not support.

Possible reasons:

1. Memory card not formatted.
2. Memory card could be larger than 2GB.
3. Brand of the memory card.

Nokia 6085 uses MicroSD (TransFlash) and it could support up to 2GB. If you're using a memory card that is not formatted or bigger than 2GB, you might get this error "memory card not supported'.

Sometimes, brands does matter. Nokia phones prefer to use Nokia memory cards. So you need to try using different memory card to see if there's a problem with the card or with the card slot on the phone.

Hope I answer your question properly.

Have a great day!

Use only miniSD cards approved by Nokia for use with this device. Nokia utilizes the approved industry standards for memory cards but not all other brands may function correctly or be fully compatible with this device.
Use only compatible miniSD cards with this device. Other memory cards, such as Reduced Size MultiMediaCards, do not fit in the memory card slot and are not compatible with this device. Using an incompatible memory card may damage the memory card as well as the device, and data stored on the incompatible card may be corrupted.
Press menu and select Tools > Memory. You can use a compatible miniSD card as extra storage space and for backing up the information in the device memory.
To back up information from the device memory to a compatible memory card, select Options > Backup phone mem.
To restore information from the compatible memory card to the device memory, select Options > Restore from card.
To eject the memory card, press , and select Remove mem. card.
Important: Do not remove the memory card in the middle of an operation when the card is being accessed.
