How do I fix my printer it prints blank sheets it acts like its printing but the paper is still blank I did nozzle and print head checks nothing still blank

I hate to state the obvious, but how long has it been since you've changed the ink cartridges on the printer. If you have done both the nozzle cleaning and print head alignment and nothing appeared on the paper, I don't know what else it could be.
This following suggestion is very rare - if you recently replaced the cartridges and your printer hasn't printed since then, it is possible that you installed them incorrectly; OR perhaps you left the head protector tape on the cartridge. But then it wouldn't "see" the cartridge.
In the "rare" situations, you should try to remove and replace the cartridges to assure that they are properly installed.

Canon mp830 cannot print is printing only in color. Put in new black BK8 and PGBK5, but just prints blanks

Could have ruined the head from not proper cooling from the ink supply.
Try to clean the head using 8 oz. hot water (preferably distilled) and 1 oz. ammonia.
Make sure the intake ports are submerged for 30=45 minutes. Dry the head completely and re-install.
Gently tap the PGI5 BLK on a towel and make sure ink comes out.
If so do a deep clean and a head alignment page.
If nopt you may need a print head that I can supply.
Thank you fo0r using Fixya

Why wont the head alignment work?

If the inks will not come out the alignment fails. Have you tried a deep clean? If that does not solve your problem
You can try and soak the head in one oz. ammonia and 8 oz. of hot water. Preferably distilled or spring water. Make sure it covers the nozzles and ink intake ports. Let it soak for 30-45 minutes.
Completely dry the head and contacts being careful of the nozzles
.Maybe let it sit for an extra few minutes
Do a deep clean after installed and if it now does a nozzle check be sure to put paper in the top tray and do an alignment.
If this does not work you may need a print head which I can supply.
Thankls for using Fix-Ya

Ip4200 manual alignment

Remove print head and mix 1 oz. ammonia to 180 degree 8 oz. hot water for 30 minutes.
Completely dry unit with air duster etc. and put back into machine.
Do a nozzle check and see if it gets better if so try a deep clean or redo step 1.
If no black a new print head is needed and I have one.

I've seen this problem answered on your website but it didn't help ME....My printer is not printing. It goes through all the steps, sounds like the ink is printing and there are no errors displayed on my...

> have cleaned & deep cleaned the printer head,
If your printer isn't used often, the print-head is likely clogged and no amount of machine 'cleaning' will restore it to function. Your problem caused me to abandon ink-jets forever and go with a laser printer. I used to maintain inkjets and the only method that seemed to have any effect on a clogged print-head is either replacement of the head and have had limited success by soaking the print-head in household ammonia for hours and finally bought an ultrasonic cleaner and used the ammonia bath to free up clogged heads. After having serviced these turkeys for two decades, I finally tired of the necessity of cleaning print-heads for the few printing tasks I still do. The very early HP inkjets were pretty good at lasting through a few days of non-use but the technology was also much coarser than the current units. I LOVE my Samsung CLP-310; it ALWAY prints when I need it.

On my HP Officejet 4215, my black cartridge doesn't print. The cartridge is nearly full.

If you haven't used the black print option, as in to print without using the color cartridges, then the black print head may be 'gummed up'.
You can try to clean the print head using the 'clean' function, which may work.
You can also try to get the print head to work by using ammonia and hot water. If the cartridge has its own print head, you can use some hot water on a paper towel and set the print head onto the soaked towel for a few minutes. After it has sat for a while, gently dab it dry with another paper towel, and try to use it. If it works, you're done. If not, you can use ammonia to try to clean the print head using the same tactics as using water. Try water first, then ammonia.
If the print head is fixed in place, you have to remove the whole assembly from the printer, and then try to clean the print head using the same method.

HEAD CLEANING DOES NOT FIX GAPS IN NOZZLE CHECK

Head cleaning is for fixing horizontal band. If some point of head cloged, print out will show horizoantal banding. For vertical banding, try using head alignment. Have yo tried printing without high speed (disable high speed option)

Canon i470D Waste Ink Tank is Completely Full. How Do I Clean It?

There is a cleaning solution sold on E-bay for Cannon i470D print heads.
Or you can try a little ammonia. I used a cap full of ammonia in each side of the print head where the ink tanks go.
Put the print head in a can and let it set in the ammonia for 5-15 minutes then blot dry with paper towels and let stand until dry.
Then run the maint routines for the print head found under properties/maintance.

Clogged printer heads

If you soak the head, you may as well bun the printer. So many people have wrecked their machines doing exactly what you are doing. If you force any liquid through the print head, you stand a really chance of blowing the piezo actuator and rendering the machine useless.

I assume you have been using non genuine ink cartridges, as these are usually the cause of most similar problems. Ever wonder why Epson do not make cleaning cartridges but all the compatible cartridge makers do? Running cleaning cycles with compatible carts can make the situation worse.

Take a look at my previous post about under head cleaning. You can find an example HERE. Get a set of genuine carts and put them in once you have completed the under head cleaning. In most cases this type of cleaning is sufficient to get most printer running again. If your nozzles are seriously clogged you may want to let the pads soak over night.

Avoid using a neat ammonia, the print head will not appreciate such a strong solution. An ammonia based cleaning solution would be more suitable.

Also bear in mind that if the pipes to the waste pads from the pump cap are clogged you may also loose some print quality and running cleaning cycles will have no affect as they rely on vacuum from the pump cap.

If you are going to use compatible carts, put a genuine set of carts in every second or third set. These will help clean out the solidified muck left by compatibles.

Try this and let us know how you fair.
