Question about Logitech Wireless Access Duo Optical Desktop Keyboard/Mouse KBWIREOPT

Open Question

LEXMA Blue Trace Mouse MS7160. Installed it on my Toshiba Laptop, (2 months old), with Windows 7. The mouse installs but the cursor will only move left and right and the top of the screen. The cursor will not go any where else of the screen, no up and down, etc. I see there is another post on here, some one else having the exact same problem. Now I am wondering if it will even work on a laptop. Any help is appreciated...thanks kim

Open the Control Panel. Select "Printers and other Hardware". Select "Mouse".

(Note: If you open Control Panel and it is in Classic View, just double-click "Mouse".)

Select the Pointer Options tab. (The exact tab name may differ.)

There should be a slider button to adjust the speed of the mouse. Click OK.

Thanks for using Fixya.

I have a Toshiba LapTop Windows 7 My granddaughter pushed keys and now i can't get the cursor to move. I have tried shutting down and it is still frozen in the middle .

Are you using the trackpad to manipulate the cursor, or are you using an external mouse?

If you're using the trackpad, it may be as simple as using the Fn keys and the corresponding F keys at the top of the keyboard to enable the trackpad feature again. If that doesn't work, try plugging in an external mouse via USB port to see if that works.
If you're using an external mouse, then try to see if the cursor moves while using the trackpad.

Hopefully one of these options will give you control back over your cursor again.

The cursor on my emachines laptop is frozen in the middle of the screen and i tried restarting it taking out the battery for awhile and nothing, i don't know what else to try. if u can please help me out...

Before you plan to return make sure you have done some or all of this things first:

1. Did you reboot after you installed the os?
2. Did you make sure that if its a USB mouse that it is securely connected to the USB port ?
3. Were you able to move your mouse without any problem at all before the software installation ?
4. Have you had this problem before the installation of OS ?
5. Have you done all your software and windows updates ?
6. Will the mouse work when booting into Safe Mode ( pressing F8 during re-boot before Windows Vista loads) If it does then your softwares need to be updated.
7. Did you check you device manager to see that theres no yellow exclamation anywhere in the Mice and othert pointing devices or under the USB controller section?
8. Is there a legacy USB port to be activated on your computer BIOS ?

If the installation caused your mouse to be frozen then try and uninstall the Enterprise 2007 by using your keyboard and tab to the programs uninstall.

If your mouse still doesn't move after doing all of the above things
then try another new USB mouse. Sometimes you may have to wait for several seconds (even up to a minute for new usb mouse detection) before the USB mouse cursor will move. If the second new USB mouse still wont work then return it to where you bought it as it could be faulty usb connector

plz do rate the solution if got help

Logitech V320 cordless optical mouse-work with Win ME?

No, the drivers will only support windows XP at the lowest.

But windows ME will support a standard serial mouse, which are still available, the drivers are already installed.

Cursor jumps around

If your cursor moves erratically on the screen (for example, if it jumps around the screen, moves at varying speeds, or selects items on its own), perform the following steps:
  1. Clean the surface of the touchpad with a dry, soft cloth to remove grease, sweat, moisture, or other liquids.
  2. Adjust the sensitivity of the touch pad:.
    1. Click the Start button and click Control Panel.
    2. Click Printers and Other Hardware.
    3. Click Mouse.
    4. When the Mouse Properties window appears, click the Pointer Options tab. (Figure 1)

      Figure 1: Pointer Speed
    5. Under Select a pointer speed:, click to move the slider bar closer to Slow.
    6. Click OK.
    7. Check to see if the touch pad still behaves erratically.
  3. If the touchpad still caused the cursor to behave erratically, attach an external mouse to your computer and restart your computer. Use the external mouse to see if your cursor still moves erratically.
