Tips for a great answer:
Thank you for your inquiry, Lucie!
From what you have described your Frigidaire oven lock is stuck open and you are receiving error codes "F9" and "DR". The "F9" error code stands for runaway temperature (overheating). This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting from your oven for ten minutes. The "DR" code means that the door is not closed or the door latch is not recognizing the door is closed. This could be an issue with your door latch or control panel. If the reset does not help correct your issues I would recommend having a professional technician out to perform a proper diagnosis and repair. Best of luck! -Matt

Hello Gene Frank - Typically error code DR indicates an issue with the door switch and wiring not communicating correctly or closing properly. Try resetting the washer by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and if it proves to be ineffective, contact a professional to move forward accurately.

Try resetting the unit at the household circuit breaker and confirm that there is power to the unit. If there is power and unit will not start you could possibly have a defective control board, cord or wiring. Do you notice any error codes displayed on the control panel or lights blinking? If so, if panel displays "DR", either the door is not closing properly or it may have a defective door lock switch. However, if panel displays "DDO" the drawer is not closing, magnet may be missing or have a defective reed switch. Typically this is not a do it yourself job and it is something that you want a certified professional to install/repair for you due to safety and liability reasons.

Hello Phyllis Emmett - Do you notice any error codes displayed on the control panel or lights blinking? If so and the panel displays "DR", the door may have a defective door lock switch. However, if panel displays "DDO" either the drawer is not closing, magnet may be missing or have a defective reed switch, which you will need to contact a professional to diagnose the unit.
