Question about LG Cell Phones

1 Answer

After charging my LG Vu Plus there was a message on screen that said, "Memory card is ejected. Default storage location is changed from memory card to device." I had not messed with my microSDHC card since first installing it and certainly did not eject it. I cannot get the phone to recognize the card now. I took it out, put it in the adapter, and inserted it into my laptop's card reader (for the first time). I cannot browse files on it. What happened to create this problem? Is there a solution? Btw, the phone was powered off while charging, if that makes a difference. (I usually charge it while power is on.) Happy New Year!

The memory card has most likely corrupted and no longer will work. you can try to reformat it in your computer, but more than likely youll need a new card

SOURCE: Where do you put the memory card for a LG Vu

you slide off the back of the phone. Remove the battery. Then take out the sim card. Right beneath that is where the memory card is supposed to go. You can easily tell if it's in or not because you have to push it down and hear a pop. Hope that helps, I've had mine for three weeks now!:)

SOURCE: LG Fusic 550 Sprint - Memory Card Error with 8 GB Sandisk MicroSD

Believe it or not, a lot of the older phones (an even the newer phones) will not support the 8GB memory card. Most of the phones on the market that support 8GB cards are the smart phones and PDA's. There are a few standard phones that support it but not many. Unfortunately, the LG 550 is not one of them. :o/

You may need to take it back and exchange it for a smaller one.

I get an "OUT OF MEMORY" error message on a brand

Hi there most of the time people face this problem during the wrong storage location setting. I am sure your camera default storage unit is camera inbuilt memory. Just go in setting and then select the memory card as default storage location and then click the photo. You will get enough space and not face this error problem. Thanks & let me know the result.

When it displays insert memory card for connecting as mass storage device, switch off the phone and reconnect so the phone will perform as a memory storage device.

Good luck.

LG VU cu920 can't connect to PC

I have a LG VU as well, and I know your problem perfectly, The LG software is useless for this phone, don't even bother with it. You do need to get a memory card- up to 4 GB is fine, and set your primary storage to the memory card, not the phones internal memory. Then simply connect the phone to the LG data cable, and the cable to the usb of your computer.Do NOT use the LG Suite for this, in fact probably delete it first. The computer will recognize your phones memeory card as an external drive or storage device or drive, and you can simply drag and drop your files, including audio, video, music to and from the memory card and the computer. Remember delet the LG Suite first to avoid conflicts. Hope this helps.

How can i put pictures on a memory card

This is easy to do on the VU using an LG data cable attached to the phone and into a usb port on your computer. The computer will recognize the memory card as an external storage device, and you can simply copy and paste your pictures to and from your computer on to the graphics file of your memory card. Don't bother using LG Suite, as it is useless for the VU.

LG Vu -how can I tranfer pictures?

It is quite a bummer, but you have to select one picture at a time, go to options, select move, choose memory card, select paste and then when you have moved all of your pictures over to your memory card you can get them on your computer via the data cable. I miss my sony!
