Question about Televison & Video
I am so sorry to tell you that this is a problem with the optical block, usually the light tunnel. The entire optical block has to be replaced to resolve this problem and it is not cost effective(costs about 1200-1500$). You are probably better off purchasing a replacement tv, prefferably an LCD or LED tv as these are the most durable tvs in the market.
