Hello there:
Here is the code and what it means read the code i have provided and what needs to be donte to repair it ok but first here is a thing you can try first unplugthe oven for 1 hr to let the internal memory module reset itself then try it again if you get the same code than here is what is wrong
F1 Supervisory relay enable shorted (non-cook mode); sounds alarm and inhibits cook mode if alarm fault monitor is always active in non-cook mode, and requires removal of power until serviced. Usually a bad touch pad or clock assembly (also called the ERC). Replace touchpad or ERCplease keep me posted on how this is going so i can assist you more if you need to get parts or some thing else ok
Best regards Mike

Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
    1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
    2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.

We have an F1 error code, and cant get the oven to stay sets for a minute, then beeps a few times, and shows a f1 code again

F1 touch pad / ERC test
This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range
Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC
as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace
the ERC (Clock).

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable
performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance
repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range
power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is
very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please
double check before continuing.
2. Gain access inside the control
3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch)
ribbon from the ERC.
4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else
that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel
back the way it was.
5. Turn the power back on.
6. Wait for at least one
hour to see if the F1 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping
7. If F1 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the
touch pad.

Kenmore oven control beeps and shows F1

According to Kenmore's list of error codes, F1 means EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure, and the solution is to replace the EOC. You might look into that. The part itself costs around $80, as far as I can see.

F1 error message Kenmore Electric range model 790.95680301

F1 error means that you have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad. To check these please follow these simple instructions:
  1. Disconnect power to stove
  2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  5. Turn power back on to stove.
  6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Annoying beep

On models where the keypad and electronic control are one integral part which can not be separated, an F1 error can be caused by a problem in the oven temperature sensor or its wiring circuit. If not it's the keypad.

F1 Displayed

Carol, The F1 error code could be cause a failed ERC(EOC,Clock assembly)or a faulty touch-pad. To check the ERC and the touch pad, follow the steps below : -Disconnect renger's power cable. - Gain access to ECR's back. - Disconnect the ribbon cable between the ERC and the touch-pad - Reconnect renger's power cable and switch on. - If you will get the F1 and the beep,it means that the ERC is fault and should be replaced. - If you don't see the F1 code and don't have the beep, you should replce the touch-pad. Good luck !
