Hi there.
The computer is probably struggling with the clock speed of the new processor.
Did you reset the BIOS setting?
If you didn't go into the BIOS and set it to default settings, hit F10, save the changes and restart the computer.
Clock speeds should now be reset and the computer should work. Also you should make sure the system memory is seated properly.

Good luck

Some systems have "bottlenecks," where small overclocking of a component can help realize the full potential of another component to a greater percentage than the limiting hardware is overclocked. For instance, many motherboards with AMD Athlon 64 processors limit the speed of four units of RAM to 333 MHz. However, the memory speed is computed by dividing the processor speed (which is a base number times a CPU multiplier, for instance 1.8 GHz is most likely 9x200 MHz) by a fixed integer such that, at stock speeds, the RAM would run at a clock rate near 333 MHz. Manipulating elements of how the processor speed is set (usually lowering the multiplier), one can often overclock the processor a small amount, around 100-200 MHz (less than 10%), and gain a RAM clock rate of 400 MHz (20% increase), releasing the full potential of the RAM.

AMD also produced x86 designs which competed with Intel on performance rather than price. In January 2002 the Pentium 4 gained a lead in sales and AMD marketing responded by giving their processors numeric suffixes approximating the clock rate that an AMD Thunderbird (and by inference a Pentium processor) would need to give matching performance, openly undermining the "megahertz myth".

How do I overclock a Celeron 733mHz PGA370?

You can only overclock your computer if it has ATAPI BIOS. So get into BIOS upon bootup and if you have ATAPI then it will say it across the top. It will also have a section for the CPU with the current speed and an option to change it.

This website is the details of your motherboard from intel site you can have look in to that the processor 3.2 ghz is supported but L2 cache must be 512 kb only(you are trying with 1mb one it is not supported) your processor doesnt suits the motherboard specification as i have told it previously ..

here are list & details of supported processors below:

intel® Pentium® 4

3.40 GHz 800 MHz 512 KB P20 or greater All board revisions support these processors. 3.20 GHz 800 MHz 512 KB P06 or greater 3 GHz 800 MHz 512 KB P05 or greater 3.06 GHz 533 MHz 512 KB P02 or greater 2.80C GHz 800 MHz 512 KB P05 or greater 2.80 GHz 533 MHz 512 KB P02 or greater 2.66 GHz 533 MHz 512 KB P02 or greater 2.60C GHz 800 MHz 512 KB P05 or greater 2.53 GHz 533 MHz 512 KB P02 or greater 2.40C GHz 800 MHz 512 KB P05 or greater 2.40B GHz 533 MHz 512 KB P02 or greater 2.26 GHz 533 MHz 512 KB P02 or greater

so just try changing this processor to 512 kb L2 cache processor ..........

AMD k6-2

the problem is xp which makes with an older K6-2 the clock speed lower. It takes a lot for a machine to run XP.
The best way is either go back to 98 or the only way could be ME.
not much what you can do about it otherwise

AMD Athon XP 2600 dropped speed

Some times when a computer shuts down unexspectedly like that it will reset itself back to its defaults in bios thinking there was a problem. Go in there and check your cpu settings. The fsb should be set to 266 mhz. Make sure it didnt default back to 133 mhz.

And FYI the 2600 is acutally a 2.13 gig cpu not a 2.6 gig..
