If there are no visible scratches or cracks on the DVD, it could be a problem with the lens inside your 360. It either needs to be cleaned or it's defected. Information on cleaning the lens can be found here:

My disc is unreadable and i am trying

A disc being unreadable can mean one of two things: either the disc itself is damaged, or the device trying to read it is not functioning properly. Try the disc in another device to confirm it's the disc and not the device. If the disc still doesn't work, track down a professional resurfacer as a last ditch effort

Disc corrupt or fastfile unreadable

Copy your saved game folder to another location (Desktop?) and completely uninstall and then reboot and re-install the game you are having problems with. If this fails, try to get the disc replaced.

My sons games have been burnt by lazer ...

if the ring is on the outside edge of the Game disc, the console was moved during operation. the disc tips and hits the disc tray on the outside edge, you should see a scuff on the tray as well.

you can buy a disc cleaner that can remove the scuff from the disc, you will need the type that actually removes a layer from the disc or you can take it to a video store and have them clean or resurface the disc.

Xbox 360 scratched disk

Hi

If the xbox is under warranty ( Microsoft has extended coverage on those) , have Microsoft fix it.
If it's older , you'll need to find a service that fixes 360s
If the case seal is broken Microsoft wont cover any warranty issues

Xbox 360 unreadable disc

If you have a close-by friend check the game on his xbox to see if you get the same error. If you do not, then it is most likely your xbox. You may need to return it to Microsoft.

Try to insert the disc, power off the xbox, unplug it completely. Wait 30 seconds then plug everything in and power it back on and see if you get the same error message.

If none of these suggestions are an option, you may want to purchase a $10-$25 CD that has bristles that cleans the lens that reads the CD's inside the unit. (I know Maxell makes them) Then try the game again.

Won't read disc's

theres a known problem with the hitashi dvd drive in the xbox 360.
the only solution to this is a home repair job, look up on youtube on how to do this, although this isnt recommended as it voids warranty.
so the best way is definitely just to ring microsoft and send ur console in for repair.
