Question about GE PFSS9PKYSS (285 cu ft) Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator

Open Question

My GE Profile French Door Refrigerator is not cooling at all. The problem was noticed 2 days ago ll the meat in the bottom freezer thawed out, there is no cooling temperature at all. Also, on the display screen the temperature screen is reading OF on both side. What is the cause of this, and does this need to be gassed up for cooling? if so let me know. Please keep in mind i live in the Bahamas on the island of Freeport, Grand Bahama, and my appliance was bought in Florida at one of Home Depot Store.

check freezer for frost build up and if fan blowing, check condenser make sure clean, and fan blowing, check vents in refrig. make sure no blockage, freezer control should be in the middle setting, you can try turning that to Warmer freezer allowing MORE air to refrigertor side.

Have a GE side by side gsh22sgress unit. Child left freezer door open. Unit ran for days (in non-occupied appartment). Meat thawed. Cleaned unit inside with mild soapy mix. Unit runs but will not cool...

Open door let too much moisture into refrigerator. (The cooling coils, behind the back wall of the freezer compartment, are blocked with frost) If you unplug the refrig for a day or so it will work again, or you can take the back wall out from inside the freezer and melt the frost with a hair blower.

GE Profile PFSF5NJW French door Bottom freezer. Freezer is fine. Refrigerator at 60 degrees. Unplugged for two days to thaw any possible freeze up. Refrige still at 60 degrees.

If that is what happened after plugging back in still no change in temperature I recommend you call someone you can trust. Trust is about asking too much these days. You refrigerator does not need to run at all until I or someone can find the problem. If someone there would like the challenge and knows how to use a multi-meter let me know. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Purchased a GE Profile bottom freezer April 08. Has indoor water dispenser. Changed the water filter 60 days ago. Since then the amount of cold water dispensed has slowly decreased to a trickle. There...

Disconnect the water line where it comes out of the water inlet valve and see how the flow is when you try the dispenser. Disconntct the water line at the bottom of the freezer door where it goes into the door. If it flows good here it may be freezing in the door. Open the door till it thaws.
If it's good at the inlet valve and slow at the door, some models have a way to put a plug in and bypass the filter.
