These are the universal remote control codes to Vivo TV. 0004 0005 0009. Check this link to know more codes and proceedings to other brands of remote controls, and buy one remote control that has setup codes with your TV. The above said codes are for GE remote with Vivo TV.

Check your remote control for its infrared emission. If there is no infrared emission, the remote won't work. Check it with fresh batteries. Clean your remote control in necessary. I think problem is from the control board. The board works with the TV buttons and that's where the remote sensor is. If the board is defective or dead, the buttons won't work and the remote won't work as well.

To confirmed if the remote control is working fine, aim the remote control sensor(IR emitter) directly to your cellphone camera. While pressing any button key on the remote control, you can see the flash of an infrared emitted by the remote control if it is working fine.


If you've confirmed that the remote control emitted an infrared but still the tv won't communicate with it, this is an indication of faulty IR sensor board of the TV. Check if there's an obstruction from the IR receiver in front. Keep away all of it, clean the plastic window of the IR receiver with soft clean cloth.
If the symptoms still persist, you have to replace the IR sensor board. Check the actual part no. of the board before ordering.
