I have a sanyo TV and i need to scan cable channels, there is no menu button on it and no remote.I tried a ge universal remote and it. How can I achieve this? Is there an app...

Your GE Universal remote needs to be programmed to match your Sanyo model 32648 TV.

Please visit:
https://jascoproducts.com/support/ge-universal-remote-codes

It will tell you how to determine which version of GE universal remote you have, and how to program your remote.

Then you will need to use the Sanyo manual to perform the scan:

INITIAL CHANNEL SEARCH is on page 9.

Need code for Sony DVD and Sony tv and how to program it I have ge 24991 1312 universal remote

Buy a SONY universal remote.
Most universal remotes do not support SONY, but a hand full do.
Packaging should explicitly state support for SONY.
Most IR remotes can use a carrier frequency range of 30-56KHz, with most using normally 38-40KHz, or likely the GE universal. SONY is in the mid 50KHz range, other manufactures in upper 40KHz range and audio equipment Bang & Olufsen and, Kenwood use a 455KHz frequency. The carrier is what your TV or DVD is tuned to see and the codes are transmitted like Morse code for digit ones and zeros to say, change channel or play.
Short to say if you don't find an auto code scan that works then try another manufacture. Manual can be found online at manualslib if lost.

I have a GE model # 31GT659 and no remote. TV stuck on channel 3 I need it on channel 4...channel buttons do not work

Ge is the most common universal remot make in the world, they make most all the universal remotes for everyone. Go to Walmart and get on for 10 buck or less and you will be back in business. With no channel buttons working this is your only choice.
