If you can access the router, then navigate to the wireless security settings and it should be displayed there. If your router is like any other, you can access it by starting your internet browser and typing 192.168.1.1 into the address bar. Once prompted for username and password just enter ADMIN in the password and leave the username blank. This assumes you haven't accessed your router and changed the password to access the settings.

I SIGNED UP but have been unable to watch anything. Called comcast .my blue ray is not connecting to internet. I haVE wireless THAT'S NOT PROBLEM. Called Netflix 2x's still haven&#

It seems the problem is your Blu-Ray player can't connect to your wireless network. Based on what you said (and based on what the problem usually is), I'm guessing that you don't have the WPA (or WEP) key to your network. If you don't know it, you can log in to your router and look on the "security" or "wireless security" tab. It might be called "WEP key" or "WPA passkey" or "network password" or whatever. That is probably the code that the Blu-Ray player is looking for.

I could get more specific if you posted the make and model of your Blu-Ray player and router (or access point). If you also post the operating system (Windows XP or 7 or MacOS X or whatever) of a computer that is able to connect wirelessly, I can tell you how to get the WPA key off that computer.

The signal from my router to my Samsung blu ray is not strong enough

There are several things you need to consider with wireless connection:
Distance - How far is the Netgear router from the Samsung Blu ray? Try changing the wireless channel on the Netgear router that can help boost the signal. Wireless Security- Have you enabled wireless security on the router? Is it WEP or WPA? Make sure that you input the wireless security key on the Blu Ray player and that you have setup wireless settings correctly.Number of wireless devices - Check the number of wireless devices(laptops, desktops, pda's, etc) connecting to the router as it also weakens the signal. And if wireless security is not enabled on your Netgear router, there's a chance that your neighbor might be connecting to your router via wireless.
You can also test how strong the signal is by placing a wireless laptop on the same location where the blu ray player is. If the laptop gets a weak signal as well, you can try placing the router closer to the blu ray player.

We switched from cox Cable to Direct TV. The BD390 works normally through an Apple Airport Express with an Ethernet connection to a Motorola SB 6120 modem. The system does everything it is supposed to...

So practically you want to use the BR390 as an access point, to route the data from the Apple to the DVR. No, this isn't possible since the player doesn't have routing capabilities.
But you can do something else: instead of the Apple (which is just a very simple router with some minor extra capabilities sold ad an outrageous price) you could get a way better normal router for a lot less than $100 and connect all devices thru LAN cables in an local network.

Airport Extreme, Mac Cube and proposed Blue Ray /WIFI

Yes, you just need to connect the Airport to the modem. That way, the Airport will fetch the internet connection and distribute it to all your WiFi enabled device. You don't need any other hardware. You just need to configure the airport using your Mac computer.
Here's a quick setup guide from Apple.com:

What does it mean entering the encription key of the access point being connected?

If your player is connected to the internet then you need to check your wireless router. You could first try power cycling the router by unplugging the power cord from the back of your wireless router for 15-30sec or get a paper clip and hit the small reset pin hole on the back of the router. If your still getting this message then you need to find out what wifi security phrase or code is on your wifi router either you have WEP or WPA-PSK security code for your home network. The access point is your wireless router or Modem. If you do not remember or have the passkey then you need to contact your internet router/modem manufacture.

Trouble connecting Power Mac G4 Airport saying "invalid password"

WPA is supported by both the Airport Extreme and Mac OS versions 10.3.
It's possible you need to change your encryption specification on the Netgear to "Shared Key" instead of the default "Open."

I lost my wpa key number and have now reset the router - help!

You need to connect your computer hardwired to the router and reconfigure it. On your wireless computer, you need to delete all the preferred networks and add a new wireless profile.

I forgot my password and now I cannot connect with

if you need to recover a used wifi key, its not possible from within windows as they are all encrypted when added, you need to search for a wifi key recovery software, there are some that recover and back up keys used on the machine, so i would start there :)

How do I find the WPA Key on a Airport router? I

HI
Here's the solution
1. Please use a hardwired computer to make the changes (base computer)
2.Click start ->run->cmd
3.Type Ipconfig on the command prompt that opens
4.You'll find default gateway address eg:: (192.168.2.1)
5.Type that in the address bar of your browser
(only the numbers)
or type in http://address on the run window
6. You'll see a router setup page opening up
7. On the left under wireless tab you'll find security tab
8. Click on that and you'll find your wpa password

Changed router to airport extreme - no connection

bayoubill:
I am sure that Airports are WPA compatible. You manually put in the key of WPA or WPA2 in the router itself (in your case since you changed the router so please put in the key onto your aiport) make sure that this key matches the key onto the clients workstations or laptops.
Let me know.
Thanks
