what i would suggest you is

remove the old version of 2004 and the new version 2006

and then go to the installed folder and remove all the unused files.

now again reinstall the new version again

this will give a clean installation.

Uninstall not working

You should always remove and uninstall programs from your PC that you are not using. It could be beneficial to your computer's productivity and functioning to free up space. You run the risk of running out of space on your computer if you add too many programs without uninstalling some. It is a relatively easy process, but you should be sure you are not removing a program that is necessary to the operation of your computer.

Click "Start" and select "Programs." Click "Control Panel" and "Programs" and "Programs and Features." Browse the list of programs on your computer and select one that you want to remove. Click "Uninstall." You may be prompted for permission from the administrator to remove the program. Enter the administrator password or confirmation if necessary. Check the properties of the program if it is not listed in "Programs." You can do this by right-clicking on the program desktop icon and selecting "Properties." Check to see if the program is compatible with the version of Windows that you are using. Click "Start" and "Run," to manually remove the programs if the uninstall option does not completely uninstall the program. Type "Regedt32" in the box and click "OK." Locate the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall" registry key and click "Export" under the "File" tab. Click "Desktop" on the "Export Registry File" dialog box. Type "Uninstall" in the "File Name" box and select "Save." The left panel of the Registry Editor will display the programs that are currently installed. Right-click the key in the left panel of the Registry Editor window. Click "Delete." Click "Yes" when you are asked to confirm deletion of the program. Click the "File" menu and select "Exit." This will exit the Registry Editor. Click "Start" and "Control Panel" and click "Add or Remove Programs." Confirm that the program is no longer listed here. Hope this helps.

Egis error

I recommend that you download an Error message identifier program. I use ErrorMsg and it can be found here:
http://www.favessoft.com/index.html

Just scroll to the bottom of the page and you will find it.

The ErrorMsg program reads "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation" regarding the egis error message. This answer means you do not have enough space to do it. I recommend using a usb flash drive or hard drive to supplement space needed for whatever it is you are doing. But you may need to do some house keeping. If that's the case then you need to download the following:
1. CCleaner:
www.piriform.com/ccleaner
2. Revo Uninstaller:
www.revouninstaller.com/

These programs should create extra space for you.

Fuji frontier 550 shows error "disk free space limit reached" in error log info. but despite doing disk defragment and disk clean-up, still no prints or orders are coming out.

Your hard Drive is full.

Go to My Computer
Right Click the C:/ and go to properties
It will then show you how much Disk space is used and that is free.

You need to uninstall some old programs you dont use anymore. If you are using Windows XP go to your Control Panel and then Add or Remove Programs
Uninstall the programs you dont want.

Now you should have enough space to install your printer software.

Dear Experts, My Nokia E71 does not reboot after a Firmware Update to the latest version. I tried to update it via Windows 7. The error message states that the connection was lost during the update. Any...

There is a newer version (2.9.158 S60 3.1 HS)of MFE available than the one that came installed on my E71x. I went to http://businesssoftware.nokia.com/mailforexchange_downloads.php
and selected E71 as the phone type. If you read the Release Notes on the next page, they indicate that this version will work on the E71x.
My questions relate to this from the Release Notes: “4. UPGRADING FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION • If you are currently using any version of Mail for Exchange older than version 2.0.0, you must first uninstall that version and then install the new version”
This from the FAQ document: “2.44 What happens when I uninstall Mail for Exchange? The email folder(s) are deleted. Tasks, calendar and contacts items remain on device. For this reason, the device lock is still enforced after uninstall. To remove the device lock, a factory restore must be performed.”
I’m not currently using device lock, but am a little concerned that, as a newbie, I might get myself into trouble installing this update and perhaps needing to perform a factor restore.

Error when trying to download MS strrets and trips 2006 w/ GPS lo

I have used every version of streets & Trips since 05, and have never had any issue with Win Media Player, currently using streets 2009 on one machine with Windows 7 RC1, which has WMP 11, and on another PC streets 2008 and Vista with WMP 11. You may need to change your default program settings for media back to WMP if you ever had another media player installed.

Error message Library not registered

I got the message "Line 25: Library not registered" after uninstalling QuickBooks Pro 2009 and trying to run my old version of QB Pro 2006.

(I had installed 2009 version to upgrade my QB2006 Pro version but got into problems with multicurrency support not being supported in the Canadian QB Pro 2009.)

Fix is VERY easy and I think it applies to anyone trying to run an older version of QB Pro after uninstalling a newer version.

Fix is to find the file "reboot.bat" located in the program files associated with the older QB version.
In my case it was found in "C:/Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks Pro" folder.
Just double click on the file to run it. This file tells the system where parts of the QB program are located including the DLL libraries it needs. After running this file you should be able to run your old QB version OK. No rebooting necessary.

Firefox will not open

There is probably something wrong with your installation. Uninstalling firefox does not completely remove all traces unless you use Revo Uninstaller. Download this program, open it, select Firefox and uninstall it. When it asks if you want to delete registry entries or extra files, click select all then delete. Then try installing firefox again.
