Question about Saeco Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines

1 Answer

We have the Saeco Exprelia and have the error message E15. We have tried turning it off and back on again but still insists on cleaning the carafe but no water is coming through - almost like its blocked or something. Machine only a week old - christmas present so shouldn't be blocked already surely?? How do you clear the machine so you can start again even just to make an espresso?

Working for the Philips-Saeco Costumer Service, so heres your fix.
Call your Hotline, tell em about the error code.
Its about the Temperature Controller steering the boiler.
Its not sending any signals to the boiler when this happens, and the only way to fix it is to have it repaired by a certified servicer.
Ask the hotline about that.

I've had this problem continually since I bought the machine. It's been in for repairs for the third time and as of this morning needs to go in for repairs again. Only bought the machine in April. That is nearly one repair cycle per month. Had enough of this machine now and am going to ask for my money to be returned.

How to solve E05 problem on Saeco Exprelia?

I filled the water tank half with descaling solution (less diluted than normal - probably it was double or tripple strength) and restarted the machine several times. It kept on showing E05 each time, but it took in a small sip of the descaling, so I waited some ours and restarted it 3 times more. And repeated this for several times for 2 days. When I had almost given up, after 15-20 restarts, it primed and I could run a full descale. I forgot to weigh how much decaling it took in by each restart, that would have been nice to be able to post.

I was descaling my exprelia coffee machine.i was asked to empty the coffee grounds unit and the drip tray. I did that and the message keeps appearing. I even turned the machine on and off. Help.

  1. Thoroughly clean the small overflow area in the drip tray. Once the drip tray gets full water flows over a small rim into this small separate part thus triggering the sensor that tells that the drip tray should be emptied. Its waals may get a bit fatty/dirty, and so remains wet and keeps triggering the sensor.

Saeco error codes

I don't think this is the case. The E04 code is about lubrication of the brew group. This is directly from Saeco support in Germany. However, the problem does persist. It seems to be an issue of poor design more than anything else.

Our exprelia will not froth milk. It only sputters milk out when we try to make a cappacino

Arrange with Saeco to send it in for replacement under warranty, rather than repair.

E15 error message making a funny noise, is the a

E15 indicates the anti flood device in the base of the appliance has been activated.

Unplug the appliance.
Take the cover below the door off.
Take the insulation out of the way.
Remove any water in the base that is lifting the float.

Once removed, try the appliance again. Watch through the open inspection panel to see if the appliance is leaking.

If the float isn't up activating the switch then the switch, wiring or control board is faulty. Check the float and check the switch.

Your machine is still under warranty so you do need to be careful about what you do.

Trying to repair it on your own may invalidate the warranty.

Hope helps.

Beans don't seem to go into the machine upon use

The grinding burrs need cleaning if we consider that nothing have damage them.
First and simple advice is to use the vacum cleaner and try to s**k everything from the grinder and try again the machine. If the problem is insist then you need to resasemble the grinder and clean the hole grinder with the vacum and also with a wire brush.
Good luck

Milk island error message

I think the problem is the arm where the carafe are connected, if there comes damp down in the arm then you can get this message.
