Question about Televison & Video
I have had this box since last october, gradually a few channels have disspeared, last night the date was stuck on 01st Jan 07 so the tv guide page would not work
we tried to reset this aand accidently restored the factory settings, so no channels at all, i rescanned the box and ended up with 200+ channels more than i had in the first place though only ITV 1, 2, 3 BBC 1, 2, 3, 4 and channel. 4 & 5 are working all the others have a $ sign against them and say bad or scrambled channel,
i have read lots of fix's telling us to put in different codes to fix this problem but there is no way of putting the codes in
Can you help please?
Press edit and go to bottom selection system instilation, press ok. type in 1004 on remote, nothing will appear till last digit entered. you will now see a hidden menu. there are three selections go to the bottom one and highlight, to the left another box says off use the right button and it will change to on. press exit till you come back. Go to sky movies or sport and a few minutes later you will see a box updating data, let it update and a picture will apear, all the pictures are now unscrambled. worked ok for me.

You need to Enable the Emulator as this is what clears scrambled channels. Main Menu -Factory Settings enter code 1570 which should give you a new CAS menu. Go down to EMU and switch it on with >vol key. Go up to Negravision and select your area providerer and press OK. Exit and scroll down to Default and hit OK. Will flash "Saving". Exit all the way out.
With certain channels when you first switch to them they may take a minute to upload data automatically.
Good Luck.. Tom (Dublin)
If unsuccessful it is because the code above does not work on your Box. You will know straight away when you enter it if the CAS menu doesnt appear

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
