You mean the refresh rate is 60 Hertzs not 60 million Hertz (too high rate can damage the monitor).
You are getting the message because the PC video resolution is too high for the monitor to display, you need to set it to the native resolution of the monitor.

Hi there.

You'll need to adjust the refresh rate. I have recently written a tip on adjusting a monitor's refresh rate. I suggest you give it a read and let me know how it goes.
You can see my tip here:

After turning on the computer (Apple CUBE MacOS 9.1) the vision of the monitor is normal but after a few seconds a screen with a window countdown will start automatically and reads "signal ing"...

you may try this came from manual.
Power Management" "countdown 20 sec
INPUT SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE
This OSD may appear to inform you that the signal being sent to the display is not within its frequency range. In this case, you would need to check the resolution and refresh rate you have your video card set to, and adjust to be within the range of the display

I installed the game whenever i open it i get Remark on monitor Out of Range. 53.5khz 85hz

That error message means the game uses a screen refresh rate that is beyond or below what your monitor can display.

You must find the game option (setting) somewhere in the game and change it.

60 hertz to 75 hertz is normal for most monitors.

Refresh rate will not switch to 60 hertz from 59 hertz. Hence my hdmi connection from my desktop to my display keeps showing "out of range" error

turn off the computer restart it and press F8 immediatly before start and keep pressing untill menu appears then highlight on" enable vga mode" and press enter your problem will be solved

Frequency out of range

Try to set the monitor refresh rate to Adapter Default despite of Optimal or lower rate of refresh. For this first download the manual of your monitor and check what is the highest refresh rate your monitor can suport. Then goto the display properties and set the adapter refresh rate to Adapter Default. In most cases such problem is solved. You did not mentioned the OS. This method is applicable in Windows only. Showing message out of range

Your monitor settings within windows are set too high for the monitor to display... When computer first boots.. be ready and press the F8 key...
Enter safe mode.. Reset the display properties in control panel to 800 by 600 for a start. Setting the resolution too high past the monitors ability will give you that message.. Most monitors are able to display 1024 by 768 just fine.. Out of range.. means the display settings within windows are out of the monitors range of ability to display the screen resolution you have set... Good luck!!

Monitor out of range when a game is booted up

The maximum resolution for the MV540 is 1024X768 @60Hz refresh. The other monitor isn't giving you an error message because not all monitors have that feature, but both the monitors are unable to display whatever data the computer is sending. If the display is normal until you start the game, then the game itself is setting the resolution to something out of the monitors' range. You'd need to set the game up to play at a setting the monitors could handle. I've never played WoW so I have no idea if the game offers a way of selecting the resolution. The game may simply require more graphics capability than your monitor can provide. Most systems now are using 17 or 19-inch flat screens or CRT's, and they offer more resolution and refresh rate options.

Monitor out of range

Most commonly, this problem is caused by an incorrect refresh rate setting. LCD monitors typically DO NOT support refresh rates higher than 60hz - and this is no exception. Try running the game in "safe mode" if it has one. Adjusting the in-game video settings should solve the problem, just look for a screen refresh rate or any video-related setting with a number followed by "hz". Set it to 60, everything should be fine.

It could also be that at some point the game changes resolution (this frequently occurs if there is an in-game movie or cut-scene). In this case the resolution settings for the in-game movie might be at fault, check them if you can.
