I have some old Klipsch Forte II speakers. I was wondering if the Vincent SV 226 mkII be a good amp for them?

Where to find expert repair for an Aragon 28k preamplifier

I can tell you what's wrong with it. Fuses blow when there's an overload. The cause being either the power supply or a shorted transistor on the main amp.

I can't tell you were to take it though since I have never heard of the make. Any repair person who repairs Audio amps should be able to fix it, depending if they can get hold of the parts.

It can be possible to bi-amp a pair of Klipsch RB-81 with this receiver for stereo listening, and if yes, how...

Bi-amping indicated that you have two amps, one for the tweeters, adn another for the woofer, in a two way system. If you don't have two seperate amps, you can use the speaker A & B outputs to run seperate speaker llines to each set of speaker inputs, but that will not be true bi-amping. Another alternative is to use jumpers to connect the speaker inputs together, this not needing seperate amps. Here's a link to the owner's manual:

I'm having a problem with sound from a Marantz SR48 MKII. I have a pair of Klipsch monitors connected to the "system 1" outputs on the Marantz and a Polk PSW100 connected to the "system...

I'd say you DO need to evaluate how the PSW is attached. I can't find the specific manual for it but the prescribed way for most subs that accept speaker level inputs (and HAVE speaker level output terminals) is run one pair of speaker outputs from the receiver to the sub and daisy-chain the Klipsh speakers from the sub.

My speakers klipsch rf82 II are rated at 8ohms and i am only able to set at 4 or 6 ohms. Is this a problem or nothing to be concerned with?

Nope.. 8 ohm's is the best speaker for it, anyway. receiver will run coler just leave the settings as default. it just means that any speaker above 4ohm is ok to use it. but if you use a 2ohm you will burn the amp..* ohm is perfect. for this amp.

Voice of both left and righ speaker is not equal

Can say I've seen this on a H/K. First swap the speakers left to right and right to left if the sound is low on the same speaker its the speaker not the receiver (could have a driver out). Could also be a dirty output relay.

Is the sound good other than it being low?
Is it that way with all inputs?

Hi Steve

I have worked on these units in the past as a Harman Kardon service agent. They are decent units and well worth persevering with.

By the sound of your symptoms, the signal is not making it from the pre amp stages to the power amp stages. This can be caused by a few different things.

1. check that the tape monitor switches have not been engaged
2. check to see that the pre out main in connections on the rear of the unit have been jumpered. See page 12 of the user manual for info about this.

You can also download a user manual for the amp from Kardon-AVR-25-II-Receivers-manual/id/390bh145/t/2/">here to assist you with working things out. I suspect that the jumpers are missing at this stage

I suspect that the jumpers on the rear are missing at this stage. Check for that and get back to me.
