SOURCE: remote control does not respond

easy way to check if remote control is emitting IR signal is to aim it directly at digital camera lens(cellphone cameras work great for this) while pressing any button on the remote you should see bright light flickering on camera display, if there is no light remote is bad otherwise receiving device in the set is not working

The tv doesn't respond to remote commands. I've change the batteries. I get a slow response then nothing for a few minutes. Can't even turn volume up or down

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. Surf the site with patience. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean.

Fan unit not responding to the remote to change speeds

The red light on the remote is the battery indicator light. You probably need a new capacitor. Take off switchcup & check black box to see if it is going bad.

Reprogram the remote: press and hold the f button for approximately 8 seconds. the remote will flash three times. press the remote start button on the remote. the remote is now ready to pair. enter vehicle, turn ignition on, press and release button and antenna, immediately press and hold same button, the vehicle should respond with a horn honk and/ or light flash on antenna. Did you figure out why the ac wasn't responding to the remote? I am having the same problem. I just cleaned out the filters but it's still not responding to the remote. I have already tried reset button in the remote, which didn't help. I am pretty sure that the remote is not out of battery.

Split system air con LG model LST 2434C-2 unit won't turn on, remote is working but unit won't respond, turned on at wall.

Check there will be red icon when power is on,before switch on by emote. If no red light, there is no power goes into indoor unit. Check. If red light is there and no response with remote, communication error between remote and PCB in indoor. Try with other same type remote. If yes, replace battery or replace your remote. If no, receiving sensor in PCB problem. Repair or replace it.

Our ac is not responding to the remote control?we changed the batteries and i can see the little red light on the remote but the unit not turning on?help please!

There is transmission problem. Check your remote sensor with camera phoneand press any button. If ultra light flashes, your remote is O.k. And some times your receiving sensor in PCB also be a defective. Check with same type another remote.

When I turn on WII it says ''press A to continue''ut nothing happens. I have changed the batteries in the remotes but they do not respond. I have checked the sensor is plugged in.

If you have more than one remote, you may have to "sync" the remotes to your Wii system.
1. Open the battery cover on your remote and press the red "SYNC" button. The lights on the remote should begin flashing.
2. Open the cover on SD Card slot on the console and press the "SYNC" button.
3. The lights on the remote should stop flashing after a few seconds. Your remote is now ready for use.
This process must be repeated for each new remote.
